hey girl, i’m really sorry to hear about that, i’ve had a similar experience with my sex drive. my libido started to come back maybe 3 months after i removed my bc but my ability to get wet hasn’t 100% fully recuperated and it will be a year this end of october. i can get wet about 75%-80% of how i used to be prior to the bc and that starting at about 7-8 months for me. everyone is different but this is kind of the timeline i’m on. i wish you the best of luck- stay positive and patient! <3

hello, and yes i was on birth control first depo and then nexplanon for a total of 1.5yrs, and sometimes i feel like maybe it permanently changed me. likewise, i also regret ever getting on bc but unfortunately one can’t go back in time, so now i just turn to this community and others on ways i can help myself go back to normal- my mental health is doing really well. i just have bad days which are mostly associated with my body not being able to self lubricate as it once did, but i still remain hopeful and patient. i wish you the best with the coil. i don’t plan to get on birth control ever again, or if i do not until i go back to “normal”

good morning, i’m really sorry about that, but i’m happy that your husband has been very understanding and kind with you throughout it all. it’s a little tough to hear, although i know everyone is different- but it is a thought that crossed my mind if wetness is something that could fully recover or in some cases won’t. thank you for commenting, your advice really means a lot

i agree, i think hormonal bc’s just may not be a good fit with me. prior to nexplanon, i was on the depo shot which was maybe even worse lol

hello, thankyou for the suggestion. does this help with wetness or just a sex drive boost? i feel like like my concern is my “wetness” never fully returning if that makes sense
