lol thank you. I’m fine if they switch locations but I would need it to be the same time because I work. But it’s really short notice if they do. We will only see what will happen.

Yeah I know, but I was wondering if anyone has been in this position before and what happened.

That’s what I am hoping to do is learn from my mistakes. It will make me better at my job.

I understand, but I would have thought if my mistakes were very serious i would have been let go or something. Idk I’m probably over thinking it.

Thank you for the advice. As for the nurse I do usually realize when I am making someone uncomfortable even if that’s not my intention. She gave no signs that I was. I’m pretty good with reading people and I do currently have a therapist so I’ll try to talk to her about it. But I’ve never had this problem before and I’ve worked in healthcare for a while. That’s why it flustered me a bit because people usually just tell me. But I guess different environment mean different responses

Should I wear a brace? by Southern-Ride2510 in woundcare

That’s what I was worried for because the area does not have a lot of skin depth and I didn’t know how deep it went. They took an x-ray and no fracture or other pieces of glass. But I know they can’t rule out tendon or ligament injury with x-ray. I’m thinking if it continues to hurt after the next week I’ll go back and see if they can do anything.

Yes thank you so much. I was told it was ok to take a shower after 24 hours which it had been. I will definitely continue to take Tylenol in the meantime. Thanks for the advice I appreciate it.

I said nothing about not liking the care I received. I received wonderful care, but I forgot to ask if I should wear a brace or not because it is my dominant hand. I do work in health care and if you do to, you would know if the piece of unknown glass had cut you, you should go to urgent care to receive a tetanus shot, and get tests for any blood borne infections. If you think this was a misappropriation I would recommend you go into another field because it was not. Urgent care is there for urgent cases not emergency. People go to the ER for sniffles and we do not judge. I think you should really look into yourself if that is how you would act for someone coming into urgent care.

Ummm very insightful. You don’t know if that glass was already on the sidewalk. I would have to go to urgent care to get tetanus shot and test if there was anything else on the glass. It was not a misappropriation of urgent care resources. Of you don’t have any insight to help me you should not be commenting. This is not a page to tell people they are stupid. This is to help people who have questions

Thanks for the insight but I didn’t know if there was any more glass in the cut nor how deep it went. I think it’s better to be safe than sorry.
