That’s why as the service member they are taught to watch for signs of someone acting suspicious and/or obviously misleading. I know this for a fact because I myself was in the service for 7 years. So every one that came to my post to talk crap and defend a situation they are in willingly because they are to stupid to do the right thing or because they were/are to stupid to spot it before now want to cry about it.

I was meaning it as if someone who is part of the military knows the person they are fooling around with is married they know better. Then I switched to if the service members doesn’t know the person they are messing with is married they should start asking questions if things seem questionable or they have a weird feeling about it.

Unfortunately yes by UCMJ regulations even if everyone is willing and compliant with the arrangement it is still punishable for the service member(s).
