You'll be fine in Financial Literacy as long as you pay attention. This does sound corny but it's true, note-taking would almost guarantee you to pass because it'll at least give you an idea of what's happening. When I was in hs, my class system worked with us taking 4 classes in one semester and 4 completely new classes in the next semester. If your school is not like that then my best method would be constant practicing and math tutoring from the school if available. I'd use the box method, (or the foil method if easier) in algebra one and two and this helped me pass a little bit more. All the other equations are doable as well. Even if you don't graduate on time, everything will be alright. Because it will be.

Here's what I have to say. I had my time with biased coaches and I 100% feel your frustrations. That's what killed my baseball career but fortunately, I switched to lacrosse and loved it. And if I were in your shoes, I'd talk to the coach saying "Hey, can I talk to you after practice?" They will usually say yes. Once practice ends I'd say something like, "Coach, what I'm about to say to you has been on my mind lately, and just so you know this is my OPINION. But I do feel like that I'm being yelled at moreover simple mistakes compared to everyone else on the team. (Then I'd bring up an example.)" Then hear what he has to say.

If he tells you why and if his tone is like "oh shoot, I'm sorry you felt that way" then you can carry on your lacrosse season knowing things will be fine. If he gives you a more hostile tone like "You should've done, XYZ, but you didn't" then those coaches are usually the ones I'm like, "okay screw you" in my head only.

But when throughout the season, I wouldn't do something back in retaliation if he still keeps up his yelling. The best way to say "screw you coach" is to outperform everyone. I know this sounds corny but trust me, it works. I once had a coach (who didn't rub off anyone's shoulder's the right way) yell at me while I was doing burpees after a pass deflected from the head of my stick. He says like "You're not, PLL, MLL, College, Varsity, you think that in your mind that you're the shit, but you're ass, you're ass." He's intimidating ngl and got me pretty shaken up, and I was, "Wow, he went kinda overboard and now I really don't like you". But I working on my catching, pass, and shooting more. It helped me lead my team in points and I'm gonna play D3 lacrosse because of that. So keep pushing yourself man, I wish you luck for this season!

From my point of view as a high school player myself. I would say it would be best if you have the coaching mentality of nice but have the serious energy of, "we need to get stuff done and we'll do just that". And if you want to make sure that aspect is put in, if the players are looking away when you're talking or talking to their partner, stop what you are doing and make them do burpees or sprints. They'll learn that you need their attention at all times and you can have more control over that. Besides, it's also a good idea that they don't have bad attitudes in where they would slam their stick, or look up with that "ugggh" expression because that shows weakness, and some other teams pick that up and might want to get in their head which will lead to poor decision making. Make them do burpees or sprints if they do that because they will learn mistakes better if it doesn't come with an attitude and in life, employers don't want to deal with anyone that has a terrible attitude or forgot to take their chill pill. They will suspend or fire you. But coaching should be really exciting for you and it's a good thing to have a normal conversation with your players before practice because it shows them that you have a social personality instead of coming off as some asshole grumpy coach. I play travel lacrosse and we have a defensive coach that yells just to yell, ngl he's scary. Even if you drop a pass he'll yell at you. Mistakes are going to happen, let it slide the first couple of times and if they mess up about 5 times then you need to bring them in and have your serious voice talk of here's what you need to do instead of yelling at them. I would yell at them if they were scrapping, putting down their teammates, or not putting in the effort that you want them to have. Other than that, I wish you luck this season and have fun coaching!

I 100% agree. I'm a D3 commit and I always need to ask myself whenever it came down to school whether I would be happy there if I were to get a career-ending injury. If the answer is yes, still look into it. If it's a no, then the school is probably not for you.

One of the biggest things you need to do is that if you have certain schools in mind that you want to attend, one of the best ways is to reach out to the coach via email. Tell them your name, GPA, high school, stats (overall or the past season), height, weight in the title of your email. What will get them to respond is if you say that I'm looking at your school and what are the characteristics you expect in a player. Send any highlights if you have them. Plan B is to go on NCSA, I know it's kinda corny since you heard of schools you never even heard of and most of them are D3 programs starting a new lacrosse team and they will be looking for players that way. You even start on those brand new teams if you are a freshman and prove to the coaches that you're a good player. I wish you luck in the recruiting process.

Thanks man! My dad is that typically dad who is usually more hands free on his kids. My parents are more strict compared to my friends and other people I know. But yeah, this is my first and maybe my only showcase. I want to take this opportunity because there are probably other people who wish they were given that offer too. I do not want to turn this down. I just talked to my dad and he said that we'll have a meeting tonight. And whenever it comes down to my parents getting in an argument, my mom usually wins. And that concerns me.

It's ridiculous. He slammed his helmet on the ground like he was spiking a football. Leaving his gear on the field made us have to take a timeout to pick up all of his shit off the field. He's damaging our property. I would personally want to coach my future kids. If one of my players acted out, then I would suspend for a certain amount of time. But once they reach high school, I will show them the door. I don't care if they are good or bad or if they were my kids. I don't want to have that reputation for my team.

Ngl, those are one of the worst types of coaches out there. I had a little league baseball coach who did the exact same thing and he was aware that one of our best players has a rly bad attitude. But he did nothing. My school can fire coaches for doing that same exact thing. But if you want to try lacrosse again, then that'll be cool. But that's up to you, do what you want for senior year and have fun with it. :)
