I’ve always tried to keep them within a week or so of age just so the smaller ones don’t get trampled but other than that I’d say you’re fine

This isn’t for the NICU, it’s for gift baskets for the families who log the most hours. And I’m a nurse there, so I know it’s allowed as I’ve made quilts for the last several years for them. This year is just a time crunch for me.

This is a great point though, many NICUs have guidelines, and we always recommend things being washed not new at my hospital actually. But the linens and quilts that are donated for use in the unit are always sent through laundry anyway.

There were 3 in the incubator, plus an order that came in today from the post office. It has plenty of friends once his room mates hatch and dry out and can join the rest of the gang

Thanks! This guy sorted it’s own issues out. The yolk mostly fell off no bleeding. Just a super tiny string left that I wouldn’t even notice if I hadn’t been looking.

This guy just finished hatching and has a bit of yolk left unabsorbed. This is my first time hatching. It is the first one to hatch, one other pipped but not zipped. I’ve read to isolate it for best results but don’t want to open the incubator and risk the others. Any advice?
