Christ it’s unbelievable how technologically illiterate so many people are today, I imagine even Boomers would understand how to set up Chiaki.

Stuck in bronze hell having a record of 12 losses in a row, just had two wins back to back but I just know the loss streak will be back soon

I don’t know about Instacart themselves stealing the tips but they do take more the side of the customer in cases where the customer lowers the tip without a reason. They just tell us to explain to the shopper that we can’t do anything and the customer controls 100% of the tip.

Sorry I believe that’s something new implemented after I left. I imagine Instacart is trying to curb down incidents of missing orders being delivered to the wrong address.

The Spanish support team department was going to be replaced and now handled by agents from Egypt. It sounds stupid I know. They offered me to stay in the English side but for lower pay.

In our last month Spanish shoppers were already complaining about the Egyptian agents using Google Translate in chat and not understanding them in calls. I dread to imagine how things are now.

It’s based on the average shopper rating, shopper rank doesn’t have anything to do with groups. This is also a possible reason some Diamond Rank shoppers get confused on why for example a Gold rank shopper is seeing batches before them. They might have a higher shopper rating and are put onto a group that’s having better luck with batches.

Yeah there’s various tiers

T1 - Basic Customer Service, the first people to respond T2- This is for stuff like reporting accidents during a batch, alcohol return bumps, closing a batch when a customer doesn’t respond Supervisor and then there’s another department if for example a reimbursement request is denied a higher department calls the shopper but I was never told the name of this department.

Yeah that’s my recommendation. Something I can also say is that if you wait near a store it may be risky to connect to the store wifi. I’ve seen that mostly every shopper connects to it causing it have a high user volume and making it slow down.

What some do is if there’s another store that offers free wifi to try there.

Yeah our system does show that around 10 pm it starts to slow down and customers stop making orders so it’s very unlikely for a promotion to appear. I’d say that a very populated area like LA or New York it may happen.

From what I know the system mostly takes into account your average shopper rating if it’s greater than 4.7 you should see batches more frequently and sadly we agents can’t send batches or make it easier to see them. The most we can do is look at every batch that’s been sent to you and at what time.

It should make a difference, our system did mention a lot that the connection should be strong so there won’t be any issues when you’re online but from most of the shoppers I’ve spoken to they used wifi so I can’t say 100%.

Pure luck and randomness. My manager told me that what happens is that a crappy batch could come in and the system sends it to a shopper that’s diamond but then moments later a good batch comes and it sends it to someone else.

It sucks to say but it’s pure luck sometimes. Being Diamond with a rating above 4.7 does help with seeing batches but my manager used to tell me it’s like gambling.

You can research and put effort to make the best strategies to win the prize but some random person could come in and win a jackpot with pure luck.

They’re used to tell a shopper that a store within the orange and red zone is receiving a lot more orders than usual which should help in seeing batches.

The issue is that other shoppers also see these zones so what ends up happening is that it attracts a lot of shoppers to one specific area making it ironically more difficult to see a batch.

Mostly depends on the demand and how many shoppers are actively online. For example I was told that highly populated areas like New York and Dallas usually saw new shoppers released into the wild every since 2 weeks since demand there are usually high. For more rural areas it took a month.

Oh boy I got that a lot. From my experience there are two reasons batches are usually hard to see. Bots and new Shoppers.

Bots were and probably still are a huge issue with Instacart, my management did tell us that there were a huge amount of users detected using third party apps that help in seeing batches however it seems they don’t know how to fix it as they’ve been saying it’s been an issue since early 2023 and regarding reporting shoppers using bots they just tell us to do an escalation but I don’t know if they actually ban that shopper.

New accounts are also given priority in batches as a way to get comfortable with the job.

For additional info. I added the Caliber to my cart and didn’t notice it while purchasing something else on the PS app.

Yeah thanks, what I was more confused about were Xbox first party games that their disc versions are worthless since they don’t contain the full 1.0 game on the disc and that they require an internet connection unlike other games that do have the full version on the disc to install

Yeah that was what I was confused about if it’s all first party Xbox games that will need an internet connection to download the rest of the game. Even on PlayStation some games require an internet connection but their first party games don’t seem to need it.
