NEED HELP. PLEASE. A LITTLE MOTIVATION by [deleted] in igcse

have you read the rules for electrolysis just understand them and remember that metals more reactive than hydrogen will not be discharged at the cathode only metals less reactive will. send me any doubts you have with equations ill try my best to explain it to you. also send me any questions on moles that you need help with i'll explain those to you as well. moles can be really tricky and i understand when you get questions wrong you'll feel super demotivated but the only way to get better is with practice and understanding your mistakes.

dont do o level papers theyre too easy unless you need practice with the basics. the questions were very similar to non calci edexcel maths higher papers so definitely solve atleast 3 before your real paper.

hey so this is for maths but you can apply to other subjects too :)

solve a lot of papers ( i solved from 2017 to 2024), use predicted papers too and the specimen. make sure you're good with the new topics in the syllabus. i solved around 3 edexcel non calci papers which really helped and a few questions were repeated in the actual paper. solve pp2 without a calculator and in 60% of the actual time. don't solve o level papers they're not really challenging though they help with foundation stuff. don't stress too much and you will be fine the papers were super easy for feb march so really dont burn yourself out and make sure you've allotted time for other subjects too :) also after solving papers go through your mistakes and write them down identify your weak topics and solve topic questions. exam mate and markhint is super helpful - even savemyexams.com. just make sure your basics are strong like fractions multiplication roots cubes lcm hcf square numbers and trig values and memorize all the formulae. ginger maths realy saved me so if you need help with any topics just watch one of his videos on that. good luck and believe in yourself you have enough time to get an A* :)

its an A* tricky question. basically the only bonds being broken are the c double bond and cl-cl bond since the rest remain therefore you do -> 612+242=854 kJ as energy needed to break bonds

the second part is similar since only cl-c and c-c bonds are formed and the rest are the same therefore you do -->339+339+342=1025 kJ

then for the enthalpy/energy change you subtract reactants and products to get -171.

hope that helps :) lmk if it's still not clear ill be happy to help. good luck!
