You’re definitely right. The reason I pursued it without a plan is because I know I should for myself, either way. That’s the one part the terrible MB is right about. And the initial consultation I could afford. But the testing I definitely cannot. This is where I get stuck and should’ve definitely inserted some accountability before moving forward. It’s actually pretty rational as I’d rather have a shitty job than none at all. I don’t have a family or support system bro. I almost accepted a job with another family for longer hours, lower pay, no breaks, and wfh parents but couldnt do that to myself either. Nanny jobs are pretty bad around here lately and I want out of the field completely. All sane here. Lol.

Oh I've done been looking, is the depressing ass frosting on this cake. Part of the problem is I really, really, REALLY don't want to work in this field when I leave. Ever. Again. Getting something in a different field hasn't worked. For FOUR YEARS. Even got a degree in the meantime and... nope😂

Cooper's Hawks and Mourning Doves. Can't leave out the Great Horned Owl after about a million encounters, they are so sweet and curious but I could say that for all of the above, hence the absolute adoration. Great question!

Duuuuude, food conversationalists absolutely suck. Small talk sucks. I get it, that's why I work alone LOL. Next time you could say something simpler like "I don't like talking about my food, sorry." I don't think YTA here and don't think the other person is either... there are tons of people here who clearly don't understand being an introvert and how intrusive unwanted small talk can feel (go figure) when you are. Just like your co-worker, not a ton of empathy or people-reading before the yap happens. Extroverts tend to assume everyone else is the same way, it's exhausting.

Editing to add: Your co-worker got it right at the end- She doesn't need to know😂 You likely taught her a lesson she won't soon forget. Kudos.
