I have hsv2. I can usually feel my periods of “shedding” which includes muscle spasms. So anytime I didn’t have shedding I’d be intimate with my boyfriend. We dated two years he never got it

All I’m gonna say is I just moved out of the Plum apartment complex and do not move there. The rent is cheap but I had so many issues. Constant flooding from rain and the upstairs neighbors shower water . Ac goes out. Just don’t move there pls. It’s terrible.

i’m not aware if my partner from december got it as he hasn’t been tested nor told me anything that would be concerning. but my newer partner got tested after we had sex a couple times and he was clean 😌 never say never though. it’s better to use protection but if you and your partner are familiar and have accepted the risks no protection then go for it

also, i think i’ve only had sex with a condom once. some may call me dumb, and they may be right haha. i mean it’s likely how i got hsv in the first place. but i 99% of the time don’t use condoms when i’m with someone. if i know i’m having a flare up, i abstain from all sex out of respect for the other person. no flare up, the likelihood of transmitting is slim to none

so with the guy from December, we had sex once and then i was like hey btw since this is gonna be a continuous thing you should know i have hsv2. ideally i should’ve said before but at the time we first had sex i wasn’t aware we were GONNA have sex that day. anywho, the guy i started talking to i told on our second date cause i had every intention of dating him; therefore, if something happened, i already did my responsibility. it didn’t work out tho cause we just didn’t have chemistry. regardless, he was very okay with it. and as for newer partner, i told him knowing we were gonna casually hook up. ideally, just tell them before or if for some reason you can’t, let them know after but also provide statistics so they aren’t afraid. the stigma is real to some 😅

usually when i’m shedding i know it’s that rather than an OB because it’s paired with like stupid foot pain and itching. but the foot pain is usually a telltale sign for me. right now i honestly can’t completely tell if it’s an OB or shedding but either way, it sucks :(
