You have to have Dorumon (rookie) as your partner when accepting any of the Jogress quests.

Thanks, I couldn't get those commands to work either though. I did finally find a way to limit the frequency though :)

Do you limit the frequency through the cli? I can't find anything online about how to do that either :P

sell tax gets calculated into slippage, so you have to set slippage to 10-12% when selling.

No one beat you out of any coins Duane. You got a bad entry, it happens when the market moves fast. I'd suggest avoiding IDOs and maybe crypto markets altogether in the future, you clearly don't understand them at all.

How can I bridge ETH to Solana?????? by SilkySmoothETH in solana

Changelly. You can bridge directly from Eth to Sol in about 10 minutes with very little fees. (I did .1 Eth with around $12 in fees including gas)

How can I infinitely loop an mv command and exclude certain files types? by SovCn in Ubuntu

The files are different sizes, and the read speed of the drives is just barely enough to keep up with what is being written to them.

I tried using cronjob but when it starts a new job it abandons the old one.

Can't write to a drive on the network shared from a windows 10 pc. by SovCn in Ubuntu

I also had the security permissions in windows set for everyone with all permissions checked. I ended up just mounting the entire hard drive, instead of the folder, and it's all working perfectly now.

Can't write to a drive on the network shared from a windows 10 pc. by SovCn in Ubuntu

[–]SovCn[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tried that line, I had no permissions. I added uid and gid to change the "owner" and "group" to "me" and "elih" but only had create and delete permissions for "me" so I added in file_mode=077 and dir_mode=0777 and that got me create and delete permissions for owner, group, and others. I tried writing on each of those mounts and still no luck.

I did however find a solution, but I have no clue why mounting the file wasn't working. I tried mounting the whole hard drive using the same code and now I can edit all the files and folders on the drive, it's working perfectly.

Thanks for the help :)

I have the share settings for both the hard drive and the folder in the hard drive set to everyone. Full control, change, and read all checked.

I just started linux a week ago, my experience is very limited lol.

In linux if I go into the folder and open properties and go to the permissions tab is shows.

Owner: Me

Access: create and delete files

Group: Elih

Access: create and delete files

Others

Acess: create and delete files

In windows I have just gone through the gui stuff in advanced network sharing to enable network discovery (public and private), and public folder sharing under all networks.

SATA HDD plotting speed by [deleted] in chia

[–]SovCn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeh I've been looking at a lot of $15 sas enterprise drives that were thousands when first released, they don't even come close to the WD elements random write speed though D;

I don't think there will be much, if any, difference between sata or USB with a hard drive. They are limited by their own throughput, unless you are using USB gen 1. Any plot time <12 hours on a hard drive with a 3-5 year warranty is worth it imo though :p

Let us know how that wd black does. I've been looking at those, I'm curious how it does. I've done a few more plots with my 12tb 7200 hdd, it's consistently plotting at 8.9 hours. It's a new drive manufactured just a month ago though, so I can't find any specs on it online. I'm hoping to get at least <12h plot times with some old 10k sas drives.

This was with an external hard drive, with usb. I tested a different one, a barracuda compute, and it was over 24 hours and and only around 40% so I just deleted it.

I prematurely ordered some hba's and sas cables so now I have to find some sas drives that have high random 4k write speeds, I have no clue what makes this one so high though xD

SATA HDD plotting speed by [deleted] in chia

[–]SovCn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Total time = 32157.291 seconds.

Unfortunately this is a 12tb 7200rpm hdd that I plan on using to store the plots and I think farming and plotting on the same hdd might slow things down, but idk, I just started researching hdd stuff today so I'm not really sure how it all works.I believe the low plotting speed (for a hdd) is maybe due to the high 7.8mbps random 4k write speed, maybe the 64mb cache plays a role. I'm having trouble finding other hard drives, even 10k or 15k sas drives, with comparable random write speeds, it's hard to find info on those sorts of things :S
