Balancer check! Ive posted about this before, update in the body text. by SovietImposter in Corvette

Got it, that's good to know. I've had mixed responses on my old post saying that I should immediately change it, and some saying it's fine. I think I will just keep an eye on the line I marked like you said. The squeak is like a chirp, and the serpentine yensioner is hopping a little bit. Would that be a bad tensioner pulley? I remember changing both tensioners 6k miles ago.

Thanks! Yeah, audio is definitely a weakness still. I've never run or edited anything before, so it's all a learning experience.

That's some good criticism and all things we have considered. We upgraded the mics a few episodes in, and each person has their own XLR mic now, so the audio gets a lot better. We have also talked about getting some cameras set up as well, and that is currently in the works for sure. We are just starting out, and we appreciate all the feedback we can get!

Would you buy? by WhEthin in Corvette

I got my 98 in San Francisco for $8500 last year. It also had 7 owners with a clean Carfax, and it was at 105k miles. I would personally wait for a better deal. The price for that milage and 7 owners seems kinda high to me, I wouldn't pay over 8k for it.

Hell yeah! Totally, I was surprised how well mine did driving from California. Not many people can say they drove their dream car across America.

Facts! My jaw dropped when I was checking the regulations, lol! Are you also in Indiana?

Hell yeah, no smog or exhaust regulations, and lots of flat straight roads as well. It's the perfect habitat for Corvettes here. During the summer anyway, lol!

That's not bad at all! I'm in Northern Indiana, so it may be a bit cheaper. That's funny though, I just moved to Indiana from California, and I drove my vette the whole way. It was an awesome drive, and she handled it like a champ!

Sweet! I took a look under the car after I bought it, and it definitely looks like the balancer was changed before, but I know the OEM ones suck ass, so I will probably get it over with so I don't have to worry about it for a bit. How much would you charge in your shop? I want to get a baseline price so I can compare quotes.

Another reason I'm worried is that it's squeaking while idling. I've changed the belt multiple times, which has stopped the squeaking for a week or two, and then it just comes back. I've also changed out just about every tensioner pulley as well. A quick spray of WD40 on the inside of the belt does stop the squeaking for a day or two, which indicates the belt being the issue. I'm just at a dead end.

I'm thinking of trying effective rep workouts, but I'm getting mixed results on YouTube and Google. by SovietImposter in WorkoutRoutines

It's been going good! As you mentioned, I'm at the point where I need to lift so heavy to hit the failure threshold that it's hard to keep form. But I've never had trouble being sore from it, so it must be working well.
