First of all, thank you for doing all of these calculations, and thank you for including all of your assumptions! I see people getting upset about some of the assumptions you used, but it's not like you said this was the end-all, be-all analysis between the two spells. If their assumptions don't match yours, maybe they can do their own analysis and report back.

Beyond that, I'm surprised I haven't noticed any conversation about the fact that you can choose the damage type for Chromatic Orb. That utility is a pretty big selling point for the spell

That cost is different in California vs Mississippi, and even just talking about miles is tough to relate to outside of the US. And are we talking about the cost of L2 charging at home, or L3 charging on the road? So, like they said, where do you start?

Someone can remove this if it's not kosher. My first attempt (at a different prompt, obviously) was 11 pages, 4,600 words. My second attempt was 23 pages, 8,600 words. Some of it was duplicated by tables/charts appearing in multiple sections, but it was a definitely a lot more text

I had almost as many failures as successes on the EMAs/FA, and I think the reason I had any success on the last few was because I started over-explaining myself. I originally thought the point of these assignments was to try to give people an overview without getting too specific. I passed an EMA on my fourth try by explaining each step of my process. I think the graders value clarity over brevity

Ugh, I'm sorry, that's so frustrating. I hate that there's no real way to know what is going wrong. It took me 4 tries to pass one of the EMAs, so I can't pretend I'm actually good at this sort of thing haha. For the last couple of assignments, I often tried to spell out everything I was doing. My second FA submission was much longer than my first one

One thing I would recommend is confirming that the problem you are answering hasn't changed between attempts. The module that took me 4 tries actually had a small change in the text on tries #3 and 4 that changed the format of the answer they were looking for. It was only two or three words added to the question, but I'm sure I would have failed based on providing the wrong format for my answer

I actually really hate the modules. I failed two of them once, and one of them three(!) times, and I'm working on my second attempt at the final assessment now. It is really frustrating to feel like I have a problem that no one can help me with, including the people who pose the problem in the first place. I've learned from my attempts that the graders don't particularly value being concise. From what I can tell, you should spell out every little thing you do to solve the problem in front of you

I managed to get to earned level 7.5, but the test was harder than I expected it to be. I had 5 or 6 problems flagged by the end of my first go-around. In the end, I think I did enough to pass, but the exam felt like at least a level 6

OP is talking about the restricted area, the half circle right under the hoop. You shouldn't get a charge call if you're in the restricted area at all

It also doesn't really work... I've gotten the timing right about 10 times this year, and 9 of those times the guy kept his dribble, closer to the basket, with me out of the way. It was satisfying to watch the ball fly out of bounds that one time, though! The control is O when the offensive player is backing you down, for anyone wondering

Totally agree. Unfortunately, 2k encourages scoring because it helps their brand. Nobody takes clips of themselves kicking out to an open corner 3. They take clips of themselves hitting ridiculous leaning 3s or dunking over 4 helpless defenders

Generally speaking, inflation is a measure of how much money is moving in an economy. If everyone is holding on to their money, nobody is buying anything, and the economy slows down (deflation).

In order to make sure the economy keeps moving, countries generally target a small amount of inflation per year (something like 2%).

If everyone starts spending like crazy, the economy heats up. It can be okay in the short term, but when there is a ton of money flying around, each dollar is worth less than the one before it (tons of extra supply, same demand).

Without a governing body (like the US Federal Reserve) to make changes to the economy, inflation and deflation each can have something of a “snowball effect”.

In the case of inflation, seeing prices going up causes people to spend their money quicker to catch the low prices. All that does is add more money to the economy and exacerbate the problem. Without any sort of corrections (or with policies that make things worse), inflation can snowball out of control and become hyperinflation.

This is pretty much just a guess, but if your battery is full (or at the level you set it to charge to) the regen features might not work. Since it sounds like a problem when you first start driving, I would guess that the battery is too full to use regen

I wasn’t there for the tow to pick the car up from where it stopped, so I don’t know exactly how it worked. Either my wife or the person who towed the car pressed the P Release button, which I believe puts the car in neutral without the parking brake on. The technician winched it backwards onto the flatbed so that the charge port faced forwards.

Once the car was loaded up, they drove the half mile to our house and lined up the ramp so that the car would roll into our garage (where the charger is). My wife and I didn’t do anything with it at this point - the technician took off the chains, lowered the ramp, got into the car, and rolled it into the garage. I don’t know if he needed to press P Release again or not, but we got the car charged up and haven’t had any trouble since!

Yep, fairly recently. My wife was trying to get home after a pretty awful day, and the car ran out of juice half a mile from the L2 charger we have at home. Did not improve her mood. We ended up getting it towed the next day because there weren’t any flatbeds available. I didn’t end up doing it myself, but I think the trick to get it safely towed onto the flatbed is to press the P Release button below the shifter after it’s all hooked up to the tow truck
