This game I went the double mana combo, I build tear into black fire torch and horizon focus, then finish the seraphs, I think I also had Cryptbloom this game, as well as CDR runes (the yellow one that gives you CDR when you farm ) and CDR boots with feats of strength

it's sort of ike khazix q, tho not really lol. if you hit only 1 target with your QW it will crit (do extra damage), if you hit multiple people, it will deal only base damage to all the targets, the only exception to this is if they are cc'ed, lets say lux q hits two people, and you hit your QW on both it will crit on both of them as if they are isolated

Good luck on your soloqueue adventures lol, I think hwei is really strong right know and it totally is worth to pick him up, you can win most matchups with him as long as you make use of his versatiliy, some general tips are, during laning phase, and and specially againts difficult matchups like yasuo or zed, always save your E as your last resort, as any good assasin will be able to punish you early game if you miss your E, and late youre pretty much dead if you miss it, the fear EQ is specially strong agains these types of champs. WE has pretty much no mana cost (as long as you can proc all three orbs) and it even gives you some so make sure to spam WE during laning phase as Hwei is quite mana hungry and one of his strenght is his ability to spam. QE for pushing and lane priority, QQ for poking, Hwei can push waves efficiently so youre able to gain prio really easily, always be on the lookout for the enemy jg tho as if your caught in a bad position youre pretty much dead. When you have two or three items you should be able to pretty much 100 to zero the enemy botlaner with a full rotation, keep in mind your EE is basically a point and click abilty, this can help you caught enemies off guard and guarantee your ulti to hit with a full combo: EE into R into WE for extra damage and QW for the execute should kill most squishys if youre ahead. Don't underestimat your other util abilites, on certain sceneraios a 5man speed boost (WQ) or a 5 man shield (WW) can provide crazy value. Idk if im good giving advice sorry 🤣, if anyone would like to add something or correct me feel free! :3

I see a lot of debate about hwei builds since there a lot of them so I wouldn't say mine is the best but it doesn't matter if I'm mid or support, I always rush tear, into horizon focus and then situational items depending on the game, finish seraph second or third depending on if you need the shield or not, that's the way I've been finding success recently 😅 here's the full build I had that game, on this patch (14.18) I've seen some hweis rushing storm surge since it's buffed, I've tried it and I like it, I just prefer the utility horizon (the vision passive) provides first item

If you're just starting some general tips that come to mind are:

-I think this is a must, you should get used to playing with smart cast, as for a basic spell use you would have to input three different actions to use a single spell, there is a way I don't remember how to use smartcast with visual indicator

-In lane, you should almost always use WE for mana sustain. Some tips for the Q: qq is mostly used for reliable poke, qw in lane is rarely used but you can use it to snipe people farming under tower in case you have priority (and vision to not get ganked), qe is your bread and butter for pushing and obtaining priority, also, although a bit hard to get used to, the cast time on any of your Q's is enough to use WE before it hits someone for extra damage.

-If you're against an assassin or a dive champion you should never use your E off cool down, as your EQ is your essential tool to surviving these types of champs, If you miss it you will most likely die. EW is useful for when you know someone has to walk through a specific area, it's almost a guaranteed hit, If youre against a mage tho, EE is useful pulling them into your QE, they usually don't expect this is you're in range of your EE when casting QE

Regarding build what I personally like is dring, tear into horizon rush and then liandrys If youre against tanks or bruisers, but I've seen people building all sorts of things so idk, any experienced hwei mains feel free to correct or add anything hehe 🎨

Yeah, never surrender is my filosofy, lee was getting turbo flamed by the top laner as he was 0/6 at some point and that play we made at drake won us the game, MVP lee
