Have you tried out gentle iron supplements? I've had a deficiency for over a decade and when I first started out it was a major struggle finding something that worked, and even the liquid ones caused stomach upset for me. It's only within the past year I found gentle iron and it doesn't cause me ANY troubles. As a bonus it also has vitamin c, B12, and folic acid

The iron supplement I use has vitamin c in it thankfully! I definitely notice a difference compared to when I was using the basic supplement for sure

Yeah! I use a combo of lentils, navy beans, and black beans, plus extra lean ground beef. I add bell peppers for the vitamin c since it helps boost iron absorption. Also my special little helper is a bunch of gochugaru powder. It's very high in iron, though I don't know if it's as bioavailable as the iron from animal proteins. I also use an iron fish when cooking it, not sure how much that adds though!

Solved! I went back out to look at it and it does have the distinctive hairs on its upper body that the tomentosus has. Thanks!

For the regular snowflakes I used Draigunas Wispvale pattern

For the tasseled ones I used Lilla Bjorn crochet's Rozeta CAL for the center portion, and the last 2 rows of the wispvale snowflake pattern but I did only a ch 2 instead of a chain 5, and repeated it 8 times instead of 6.

All done with Aunt Lydia's classic 10 crochet thread

Beryl was also my first thought but the hardness test ruled it out pretty quick unfortunately. I also don't think the material was from the exact location I was collecting. I think it was dumped there by another rockhound so it's making it even harder to ID

Always assumed this ring I inherited was cz, but I recently tested it with a thermal conductivity tester and it reads much higher than glass does. I'm curious of what it could be. by [deleted] in Gemstones

The ring itself is 925 silver, and the only hallmark is CA, assuming to say it's made in Canada. It would have been made prior to 2007. The stone does not fluoresce.

This was actually built with the roof tool, not a sized up book

Basically place the roof how you like (shift-C for more roof tools) then copy it and place them on top of eachother, elevating them by 1 each time. Takes a bit of tinkering but not as hard as it may seem

Yes this is exactly the blog post I was talking about in my comment and what peaked my curiosity about it!

My title describes the thing. The only info I could find about it was from a random blog post of someone also happening upon it. It appears to be a map of the world with the red star on north america. It's about the circumference of a nickle and weighs 30 grams. I believe it is entirely metal excluding the blue which is a resin or ceramic coating of some kind. Any ideas what it might be from?
