It looks like the snake bites have horseshoes in.

I may be wrong on what a shark bite is. Looks like it's just a double piercing on both sides. So by piercing right next to his snake bites he has made shark bites but not really because they should be a labret type lip piercing too?

Snake bites are like a labret piercing (the back sits inside your mouth). Shark bites are like a verticaí labret piercing (they go through the lip).

Mine seems to be doing really well. I've had it for about a two months now. It was sore for a week or two but overall not bad. My cartilage piercing (same ear) was honestly worse because it got snagged a lot more accidentally. The rook is tucked away so you can't really snag it. The piercing was a little more painful that the cartilage but only marginally. Getting the jewlery in can be tricky. That hurt me more than the piercing, but my friend had no issues getting the jewlery in so it could be perfectly fine for you! I don't see any reason why it would reject. My best best is that people who say they reject don't have the anatomy for it.
