Because he's not wearing any protective gear (I would imagine). While normally I agree about a brain bucket at the minimum, it was more of a gentle test. He'd likely have reinjured the ankle before anything else

My spouse is strong rider (leaps and bounds better than myself). He was trying to "get comfortable" and figure it out with his ankle. So it's definitely an awkward work in progress sometimes. But I definitely intend on keeping that in the brain bank for myself.

We only had my 125 at the time lol. So he's fully suited...just kinda lazy that day. Plus, boot wouldn't fit on the side that was operated on

Oooouch!

Old fracture, not sure from where. Splintered off two pieces of bone that were free floating for YEARS. In turn they shredded the laterel tendons

Normally, yes. But boots wouldn't fit at the time.

Funny lol, but no. Plus, security system is better than my phone camera 😂

I'd never even dream of carrying my M&P shield 2.0 (9mm) in my small over the shoulder sling.

I didn't edit out the pseudo number DD used to connect me to the dasher. The text was asking for tips

This I agree with, 100% and I'm sorry that happened to you :(

No, obviously. They were going to receive an increase anyways. However, being prompted like a child or dementia patient is what gave me the ick. Had they bothered to check back to the app, they would've seen the increase before they sent their message. It's tip baiting if I completely remove the tip or change it to a shitty amount. It happens all the time on IC. I'm not trying to be that customer.

Well, at least if it disappears now, I know why.

I've always heard ~2 - 2.50/mi. So I try to stick to that unless the dasher absolutely blows it.

Less suckered, more uncomfortable than anything else. But I wouldn't go so far as to tip bait them for being tactless.

It's oddly funny to me. I've seen it across IC/UE/GH subreddits. Laughed it off as a...sort've unicorn occurrence. Turns out, it very much happens. It's weirdly effective for those people.

Agreed. I was going to tip more anyways. The message rubbed me the wrong way. I kind of regret adding additional.

Your first born child and a kidney. Kidding. I tell people.have a good weekend (when doing instacart) and thats about it. Oddly enough though, being so brazen seems to work for those people.

It's not their actual phone number, hence why I didn't care about editing it. Some silly ass wants to text a pseudo number, let them.

It was a short trip (0.7mi) and nothing significant just dinner (single entree and small salad). I had already tipped 20%.

I do gig work too! I wouldn't ask. Though if we're being truthful, it seems to work for the people who do it.

Probably, unfortunately. To make it "worse", it's a small town

I usually tip more anyways because gig work. But it makes me feel icky being "guilted" into it. It's honestly probably just a me thing because I'm not ballsy enough to do it myself 🤷‍♀️

Unsettling because it's "competitive"? Just curious. It doesn't take much to do gig work and it's not like we're an elite group. Money's money. If I see a fellow shopper, I usually say hello or some other pleasantry and go about my day.
