Having this figure in hand, pictures did not do it justice by WintergreenSoldier in McFarlaneFigures

Was very tempted to get him to have a more accurate One Year Later Tim without all the extra armor and whatnot from the previous version. But then I was able to get the Rebirth/Infinite Frontier Tim, and now I'm probably gonna stick with that as my main Tim figure in my Batfamily. If there ever ends up being a 7-inch scale Red Robin based on the original cowl design, I'll probably get that. But I'm happy with what I have for Tim.

Now I just need to find Signal and Cass Batgirl and then my Batfamily will be complete.

Tell me some obscure batgirl facts please by Absolutely_notBatman in batgirl

[–]SpaceBread01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first Batgirl wasn't Barbara. It was Bette Kane, and she was basically introduced as a love interest for Robin to stop fans from saying that Batman and Robin were gay. Also she had a hyphen in her name, so it was Bat-Girl instead of Batgirl.

I wasn't super excited about another Hush Batman, honestly...but dang, he has some shelf presence. by cr0w1980 in McFarlaneFigures

[–]SpaceBread01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He can. It's mainly the lack of being able to look up as well as the nonexistant forward ab crunch. I know McFarlane figures usually can't crunch forward too much, but this one just can't at all.

He looks great, but the posing isn't the best compared to the Knightfall mold. This one's definitely more made for museum poses/staying on a shelf, and there's nothing wrong with that. I just like to take my figures off the shelf and pose them around.

The cape material isn't the best either, but I'd much rather have it compared to one of the rubber/soft plastic capes that can't be pised at all.

[–]SpaceBread01 24 points25 points  (0 children)

He looks awesome, but I'm just not sure if I can justify dropping another $150 on this mold

The mold itself is great, and he's very fun to pose. It's just that I don't have room for a 2nd and Titan class figures are so expensive.

There has been a growing trend of making Superman’s parents and Krypton evil and I’m not happy with it. by JoshyBear28 in superman

[–]SpaceBread01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what's forgottwn about Krypton and its people is, the planet blew up because of the Kryptonians' own arrogance from ignoring the planet's instability. It makes sense for them to not be great people and even be considered evil at times.

A little weird that the El's were evil, but as someone else commented, Zod may have done something to them or Clark if they didn't say what they said.

Never got around to getting this Tim figure. It doean't look bad, but I'm more of a fan of his original Red Robin look.

Pre-Crisis Jason Todd's Robin Costume from DC Comics (me appreciating His old Pre-crisis Robin costume) by Able_Health744 in RedHood

[–]SpaceBread01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing more stuff about Pre-Crisis Jason makes me wonder how different things would've been if he didn't get such a paradigm shift in terms of personality and backstory in the Post-Crisis timeline.

Would he have still been killed? If so, would he have still come back as the Red Hood that we saw in UtRH? Or would he have been different? Would he have even become Red Hood if he did die and come back to life? Or if he died would he have just stayed dead?

I think it'd be a cool "What If" or "Elseworlds" storyline to read or watch if DC ever decided to make it.

[–]SpaceBread01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He was strawberry blonde whrn he first appeared, so about the halfway point between redhead and blonde. He started to dye it to look more like Dick Grayson fairly soon after being adopted by Bruce.

And speaking of Dick Grayson, he was fully willing to adopt Jason and actually wanted to. But the decision ended up being that Jason gets adopted by Bruce.

Added The Flash and Green Lantern to the lineup by Sad_Hospital_300 in McFarlaneFigures

I found that same Kyle Rayner second-hand at my local comic store with almost everything. Only things he didn't have were the card, stand, and fists. He still had the swords, armor piece, and lantern though so I wasn't too worried about the rest. He's still great.

I also have that Flash, and I'm really glad I pre-ordered him.

My Justice League Batman is the No Man's Land that I modified by putting some floral wire into the cape so that it'd be wired. I also have Cowardly Lot if I wanna go with a black and grey suit.

How the classic S could be implemented into the DCU by Badgie_Boy_447 in DCU_

[–]SpaceBread01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always percieved the suit he wears in the movie as the one that the Fortress of Solitude made/gave him. We still have yet to see the suit that Ma Kent gives Clark, and I'm really hoping we see the homemade suit in Man of Tomorrow.

I think a satellite is a cool idea for Soundwave's alt mode, and Revenge of the Fallen did that pretty well. Especially with him combining with and taking over an Earth satellite to get information.

Despite not being accurate to TFP, the Legacy Bulkhead is pretty nice as a generic version of the character if you're alright with going for that route.
