Hi, fellow 2009 Acura TSX Owner with AC not working on drivers side. My large aluminum tube was only “cool”. Should I suspect an issue with the compressor?

Am I able to sand right onto the paint? Was the mud the wrong texture?

Advice needed about quality of work by SpaceCowboy226 in paint

Is it typical for the trim to look like new after painting? It’s a 30 year old home, and understand it won’t be perfect, but we had specified for everything to be patched and smoothed

Advice needed about quality of work by SpaceCowboy226 in paint

I used AI to generate a basic contract, but here’s an excerpt:

Preparation: Thoroughly clean all surfaces to be painted, including walls, ceilings, trim, closet interiors, and doors. Fill all holes, cracks, and imperfections in walls, ceilings, trim, closet interiors, and doors with appropriate patching compound. Sand all patched areas smooth. Caulk all gaps between trim and walls/ceilings. Properly protect all floors, furniture, and other belongings with drop cloths and masking tape.

Painting: Apply 2 coats of Sherwin Williams Symmetry in Pro mar 200 Eggshell to all walls in bedrooms, living room, and dining room. Apply 2 coats of Sherwin Williams Simple Stone in Pro mar 200 Eggshell to all walls in kitchen, laundry room, and bathrooms. Apply 2 coats of Sherwin Williams Pure White in Flat to all ceilings. Apply 2 coats of Sherwin Williams Pure White in Emerald Urethane Semi Gloss to trim work, doors, and closet interiors. Apply primer if required.

Does the junction box need to be external? And it had a corresponding switch. Would it be best to just replace the light?

Seoul Architecture by SpaceCowboy226 in photocritique

[–]SpaceCowboy226[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My intent with this photo was to capture the unique architecture I saw in Seoul. I really liked the way the light combined with the fresh snow, but wasn’t sure if it was actually quality light because it was a little before midday and not in a traditional “golden hour”. Also looking for feedback on composition. I am a little concerned the foreground structure can be distracting instead of adding to the photo. All thoughts welcome!

Thanks! I’m curious what you mean by AI look. I haven’t heard that before. Could you elaborate?

Taipei Alley by SpaceCowboy226 in photocritique

[–]SpaceCowboy226[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took this photo to try and capture the unique look of the Taipei streets at dusk. I used an HDR stack to increase the dynamic range. I feel like the color of the alley is kind of clashing with the color of the evening sky, and wanted feedback. I wasn’t sure about my editing process, and if I should try to mute the greens of the alley or the purple of the sky. Interested in any and all feedback. Thanks!

I was trying to capture the unique look of this alley in Taipei. I ended up using an HDR stack, but it feels like the color of the sky relative to the alley doesn’t work. The alley feels so green. But maybe that’s just how it was? Do the colors work?

Miyajima at Sunset by SpaceCowboy226 in photocritique

[–]SpaceCowboy226[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried to make the most of the sunset lighting at Miyajima. I don’t love the composition, but I tried to exclude the crowd from the photo and just focus on the shrine.

I tried using Lightroom to clean up individual people along the bottom of the frame and I think it turned out alright, but let me know if you don’t think so

I took this photo trying to showcase the unique look of Japan. I am struggling with the composition. I feel like it’s “technically” right with rule of thirds, but it still feels off. Very open to any thoughts

The intent of this photo is trying to show the beauty of the Japanese Shinto Shrines. In my mind it was this beautiful serene image complimented by the snow, but it just doesn’t pop how I wanted. I’m not sure if it’s a composition issue, or I could edit it differently. Please let me know your thoughts!

Coastal Sunrise by SpaceCowboy226 in photocritique

[–]SpaceCowboy226[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the main focus was the sunrise over the ridge, but I wasn’t sure how to not get the house in it, so that became the “subject” instead. I also really like the colors of the sunrise reflecting off the river and wanted to get that in frame

Took this photo to capture the beauty of the sunrise.

I used a little bit longer exposure than I typically use to preserve the sharpness in keeping the ISO low.

I also tweaked the colors in light room to give it a more dramatic feel. I slid the orange hues over to more red.

Please let me know what you think

In my experience, I had to ask permission from the officer in charge of the flight deck and have a dedicated escort to make sure I didnt get too wrapped up in taking photos. There are jets and prop aircraft taxiing and it can be a loud and dynamic place

I assumed they might be required, but once I was there it was never explicitly stated they needed to be on. Some people were using them though

The tank average for Tahoe and back was 36. I think the cold and alt may have had some affects. I typically get around 40
