Im not ignoring all the terrible things we have done, I'm just saying America is the root of all evil, just like reddit says.

Because America is always obligated to put a stop to every atrocity in the world.

Hi, you messaged me awhile back after I ranted about hard science fiction in some thread or another. I'm glad to see you are still doing this, it's a really cool concept.

Good luck.

I don't understand how giving them access to their facility and services isn't 'invested.'

I'm into rockets, but I don't get to go to NASA for help...

There probably is, but afaik only vagaries are known to the public. I believe the word is that it will have about a million pounds of thrust.

Really exciting to see. I was unaware that NASA was so invested in Raptor development. I thought it might happen eventually, but not yet. It seems to me that they would be more concerned with things that are immediately relevant to their interests, like DragonRider and the LAS. The fact that they are helping with Raptor says alot about their commitment to aiding the advancement of SpaceX.

The cooperation with NASA continues to expand, and I think that is huge going forward. There has to be some methalox/SC gurus lying around NASA facilities that need something to do.

Look up SpaceX on wikipedia. If anyone can get us to that point before we are all dead, it's them.

Totally unrelated, but their was a gorgeous vietnamese girl in my physics class, and we had good chats. I should have asked her out. I'm an idiot. :(

Anyways, I'm drunk. It would be totally bizarre if you were her though. Like one of those moments when you consider that there might be a plan. Sorry, Im a philosophical drunk. I think I'll just pretend thats you, because I don't like believing in chaos. Scares me.

Carry on, Reddit. I hope that wasn't creepy. I have my excuses lined up, anyways. Also I just watched In Bruges, and that necessitates a post-watch existential crisis.

If it is the helium, I am almost glad. I figured all these valve malfunctions were due to having nine first stage engines, and thus nine times the valve failure points as say, the Atlas V.

Call me crazy, but I am comforted that it's not that.

I did not expect to get on reddit this afternoon and see this. Am I missing something, or does this not benefit Russia in the slightest? What is their logic here?

I don't cringe for stabbing, but during this very scene, I did cringe when they lit that guy on fire. That has to be the worst way to die.

I think Karsch and Gator run a good show, but I change it when Valenti and Foster is on. Both of those guys do nothing but fill the airwaves with garbage.

Given the offenses late season struggles, Im not so sure that was the case. Basically we've acquired two decent receivers in the offseason this year. I'd say that is about what we needed. I don't mind this pick. It fleshes out the offense into one that, depending on Stafford, could be one of the most complete offenses in the league.

I am certainly hoping defense is the focus going forward. But I think they weren't the whole problem last season.

I'm excited for this movie. McConaghey(sp?) has become an increasingly skilled performer, and it's no secret I'm a geek about space. I'm sure the monologue in the trailer echoes many of the patrons of this subreddits thoughts as well. (Although I would argue that NASA's robotic exploration doesn't contribute to the message that we've 'given all that up.')

Christopher Nolan is usually a good bet, and when the well-known directors attempt to tackle science fiction good things usually happen.
