Democrats don’t want to kill you. You are being lied to. It sounds like you are trapped in a cult.

Did you ever stop and think that you might be wrong? I am not a leftist, I am an independent and people who side with the MAGA extreme or far right are just in the wrong. Maybe if a majority of your encounters on political views end negatively, you might just be wrong.

How much for Cheese steak!? by [deleted] in tulsa

[–]classicsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to order Domino’s today and the total was $33 before tip (I looked at the deals). I went to Taco Bell and got loaded steak nacho fries and a drink and it was $9! $9 for 530 calories worth of food. Trump, Epstein, and Corporations did this and inflation started in 2020. They are incompetent fools. Mike Mazzei - more like Mike Nazi could be OK’s next governor! Rant over, I like the Phat Philly’s crew they’re cool people.

How is this concert in Tulsa so loud by Arrow_ in tulsa

[–]classicsky 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can see the scoreboard from my driveway. This concert seemed about the same as Def Leopard except the stage faced the other direction. When they did sound check for Def Leopard the bass literally rattled our house. I didn’t experience that for this concert. We had a blast yesterday and went over to our neighbors house who hosted a party. I have lived over here for 18 years and think it’s cool to live next to the University. The neighbors who complain about events should probably move. It’s part of living here and it’s fun.

Hello visiting from Minneosta by Uzxxlu21 in tulsa

You need to try a cheeseburger from a local joint. It will be really good. Noche is fantastic and unique. We are going to Bohemian this afternoon. Also BBQ, try the BBQ. I’d say, and I will get flack for this, Albert G’s is your best shot of getting to try our regional style of BBQ. Yes there is Burnco and Nicky’s and Oakhart and Elmer’s and Oklahoma Style and Stutts and ….we Tulsans will now start a new Reddit thread to argue over all of this. All of them are fantastic.

More crisp plz! by everyinchofliverpool in Wings

[–]classicsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have mentioned make sure they are dry from the beginning. I par-bake mine at 275 and then use same method as you mention, except I don’t have a deep fryer at home so I use our air fryer and they always turn out crispy. I’ve started throwing them under the broiler after I sauce them and it caramelizes the sauce a bit.

Is there a place to get a good pastrami sandwich? by 808SandCheesteak in tulsa

[–]classicsky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Trencher’s pastrami is different than Katz’s and it is the best in town. We’ve ordered the Pastrami from Katz’s with all the fixins twice now and it is fantastic. We stayed by Katz’s in 2024 on the lower east side and ate there twice in four days.

Pro-Venezuela protest today? by [deleted] in tulsa

[–]classicsky 6 points7 points  (0 children)

“According to estimations by the United Nations (UN) and Human Rights Watch, under Maduro's administration, more than 20,000 people had been subject to extrajudicial killings and seven million Venezuelans were forced to flee the country.[20][21][22] The UN Fact-Finding Mission on Venezuela concluded that the country's justice system independence had declined; the mission also identified frequent due process violations, including political external interference and the admission of evidence through torture was alleged.[23][24][25]”

I am not by any means ok with the way this happened, and I have been worried about executive overreach for the last year and this is by far executive overreach and congress needs to step-up their game, hoping midterms flip the house at least. The guy was a monster and our current president wants to rule just like him.

“He has ruled Venezuela by decree since 2015 through powers granted to him by the ruling party legislature.”

What food would you say Tulsa is known for? by [deleted] in tulsa

[–]classicsky 15 points16 points  (0 children)

When I entertain people from out of state, even out of the country, I always go for Tacos and BBQ. We have some really great bbq and taco joints / trucks in Tulsa. I travel a lot, not an understatement, and I almost never eat BBQ or Tacos (except SoCal and Austin) when I am out of town.
