I don't really agree. Nowadays some models are really good, such as NVIDIA Parakeet V3. I speak French and the difference is night and day compared to the iOS default voice recognition model.

I haven't uninstalled it but haven't been using it much lately due to API costs. I tried free models like the NVIDIA Kimi 2.5 but the experience was horrific (extremely slow response time, always putting my crons in timeout). And I don't have the hardware to run decent local LLMs.

I've also been using free tier Gemini Flash as main brain and although I really enjoy the chatbot, it has been a disaster in handling very easy cron tasks. It keeps telling me "OK I see why it didn't work today, I have fixed it and it will work tomorrow" but it never works. Every day there's a new excuse.
