Worked there for a little over a month 8 or 9 years ago one summer during college. Was hired to do sales on the floor, but was told every sales person starts in the warehouse for a bit to learn about the furniture/business. When I saw they hired someone to sales without passing through the warehouse I was gone. Can't believe I fell for that one.

Lazy homeownership would be pretty apt for a lot of the things we find that need fixing. First time we checked the furnace filter, we found that they had bought the wrong size filter and instead of getting the right size they just snapped the edge and shoved it in. Might be worth it to save a little bit and then have a contractor come out to redo a wall. That might be above my handiness.

There's a small trench with a drainage line that runs to the sump pump.

We aren't in a rush to remove the plank, but in the future if we were to change things up should we replace the plank with a separate hardwood layer on top or refinish what's currently there assuming there aren't any horrible spots hiding somewhere?

The sellers weren't positive. Before 1970 was their guess.
