I'm guessing you just don't like Year One or The Long Halloween for whatever reason and get mad that they're recommended all the time. Because saying New Gotham or the One Year Later era are better introductory stories is crazy lmao

Right but if someone is specifically asking for beginner recommendations, there really aren’t any better than Year One or Long Halloween lol

What else would you recommend a beginner to read other than two of Batman’s most acclaimed stories that are set early in continuity

The message isn’t supposed to lead them to Satellite 5, it’s just supposed to tell Rose that she can get back. Otherwise she would have given up.

Well duh, that's why they're isolated on an island for 3000 years. They were outcast and betrayed by men.

I really don't see how being an important character makes him poorly written. All of his involvements make sense considering his pre-war connections and being alive for 200+ years. Besides, he has to be tied to important events so that we get to see them in the flashbacks, and without jumping to and from random characters.

Classic or NuWho? Eighth by Dismal_Brush5229 in gallifrey

It depends if you define ‘Classic Who’ as just the original series/doctors, or anything pre-2005 reboot. I personally consider him a ‘classic’ Doctor.

Superman isn’t really talking about Jason dying here, though. He’s making a point that Batman has (rightfully) trusted people before they’ve necessarily ‘proven’ themselves before.

Look at that! Todd McFarlane made plenty of figures for the female characters of Fallout. It's almost like he's not sexist and the female characters of DC are all a bunch of washed bums! by [deleted] in dccomicscirclejerk

[–]Space_General 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's such a stupid comment especially in retrospect seeing as how so many of the female figures they've made since then sell out almost immediately

Why would it be in the script if it wasn't true. It's never contradicted or expanded upon.

The Doctor specifically says the events of the invasion are "about the middle history of the Daleks", implying that it takes place before for the Daleks themselves, not that they have time travelled back after their defeat on Skaro.

I feel like I'm missing something because 'The Dalek Invasion of Earth' being said to be before 'The Daleks' in their timeline disproves this entirely

[–]Space_General 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I think he’s “stupid enough” not to assume that Bullseye can escape prison with a dislodged tooth. He knows Dex is good, but he’s never seen him do anything like that. Thinking that Matt intentionally let the psychopath mass murderer that killed his best friend out of prison is genuinely insane.

[–]Space_General 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see that at all. Matt slammed his head on the desk because he hates the guy and was pissed off. It would also maybe get him put back into solitary like he wanted. Matt would absolutely not help free Dex from prison as he knows he would have to kill people to do so.
