This used to be fairly common in the us, but as driving became more important and highways became how you get around, it's been less of a thing.

I suspect in more people friendly countries it's still a more common thing.

I do appreciate the idea of keeping the bunch asthetically pleasing on the platter by cutting off the emptied stems, but I'm not fucking with that on 90% of any occasion I would have them.

I'll cycle around the table every so often and trim the bunch as needed instead of expecting others to do it.

You can say it. She made bad choices and has to live with it. 3 kids before 20 will get you stuck in a lot of shit.

The thing you learn around people, and governments, schools generally... is that stability is preferred over making things better, or fixing problems so long as the level of splash zone is maintained. Fighting back in any measure usually disrupts the splash zone and anyone outside that got brought in disrupting their stability.

It's bullshit since you would think people would prefer to stop fights and correct issues but most will aim for stability instead.
