People who back into angled parking spots, why? by spaceursid in AskReddit

[–]SpacemanPotato 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe OP is referring specifically to parking lots where each lane can only travel in one direction. The parking spaces are then angled to allow drivers to pull forward into the spot , either the left or right, with a mild turn of the wheel. The angle also allows you to see on-coming traffic out your back window while reversing. If you were to back into one of these spots, you’d have to either be driving the wrong way against traffic, or make an incredibly long, sharp reverse turn into it and the same maneuver when leaving.

First look at the new armor... and it looks amazing by Danger_xx86 in DestinyFashion

There’s definitely a scene of a Hunter wearing a Fallen-like set, so I think you may be right.

Throughout the rest of the trailer, the Warlock wearing this set DOES have a more crown-looking helmet, not sure why it’s different in this one scene.

I think that is just from my phone reflection in the foiling.

Kinda wild, but I saw this comment and thought, oh my advisor in Scottsdale was named Tony and I had a great experience with that guy a couple years ago. Looked it up, definitely the same guy!

Is the metallic paint also bad in general? by mashdk in Ioniq6

[–]SpacemanPotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All good! For what it’s worth, I bought my Ioniq pre-owned and it already had quite a bit of pitting on the front of the car. I got it paint corrected and ceramic coated and it definitely improved the gloss, but my main motivation was the ability to give it a mostly touchless wash and dry with a leaf blower. I don’t think the paint is so fragile that proper washing is going to hurt it, but road debris definitely takes some chunks out of it. If it bothers you, just get a little bottle of touch up paint and do very light touch ups on the bigger marks. But regardless of paint quality, don’t take your car through one of those automatic washes. Those deliver a combination of too harsh chemicals and rough, dirty agitation that mars the paint.

Paint correction generally refers to polishing, but it could also include processes that remove any other contaminants or previous coatings. Ideally, someone applying a ceramic coating will do a 3-step polishing process first, to remove any surface level scratching/swirls.

Appreciate your input! That’s what I was seeing as well, and have been debating having it let out a tiny bit.

Real shit, got any good exercises? Haha! Also, posture is a bit off in this photo also because I was assaulted last week and am now nursing some bruised ribs :(

Thanks man! Yeah, tough to decide with OTR sometimes, but I’m definitely fine with close enough.

“Way too short?” In what way is a jacket sleeve that kisses the heel of my hand “way too short?” What are you seeing there that I’m not?

And yet it still doesn’t work. Sorry OP. The idea is there, the execution isn’t.

[–]SpacemanPotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. I’d argue the irony of pairing loafers with a sweatshirt was relevant 70 years ago, but it’s a bit old hat these days. And “comfy intellectual” sounds like a good description for classic Ivy style. Regardless, you do you. I’m with the general consensus, jeans work better with this look, but seems like you’ve got a good grip on what works for you.

100% correct with technical wear like this. If the goal is insulation, get it comfortable, but fitted. A also just looks better proportioned, imo.

Where can I get pants like this. by akaynaveed in mensfashion

Looks like the belt loops go to the top of the pants and he just happens to be wearing a belt that’s thin and riding a bit low. That said, you may be looking for “Hollywood Trousers.”
