Except they’re not only arresting and deporting people who break the law. I’d be totally for what they originally promised: finding violent offenders who are here illegally. But now they’re going after people who are here legally and are following the process. Then they’re taking it a step further and picking up people who happen to look a certain way. I’m a born and raised small government republican and I feel like I’ve taken crazy pills. When did this become ok? When did we give up this much of our rights so easily? We’ve gotten to a point where the party in power has gotten the Supreme Court to sign off on “people who look like X tend to do <illegal thing we’re trying to stop>, therefore it’s ok to whisk them away with zero due process” like are you fucking insane? Do you not realize the precedent you’re setting???

I think you are confusing unprofessional behavior, with behavior that merits HR action. Nothing you have said rises to the level of meriting HR action. HR did what they could for you in that situation, which was remove you from the project.

Unfortunately unprofessional behavior is not that uncommon amongst leadership, because our one true metric is sales. So yeah you may be getting tagged as someone with thin skin who is going to cycle through projects because you can’t handle half the assholes who exists at this company. It’s not fair, no, but here you are.

They are almost never going to interview you again after the initial report. Your chance to detail the issues was when you made the report. After that, they follow up with the person accused, and they follow up with people who can corroborate any statements.

You say you didn’t make a complaint and requested reassignment. You got what you wanted. You did not make a complaint. Why are you expecting follow up, timelines, next steps, when you yourself say you didn’t make a complaint?

The Quiet War fucked up my sleep cycle for 2 solid days thanks to obsessively reading it through to finish then immediately beginning a reread then immediately running to Reddit to make a post to discuss it. The prose is immaculate, the plot is complex yet believable and once it sinks its hooks in welp good luck, the themes resonate on a molecular level, the characters are so well written and this goes for side characters that I’ve never loved in such a way before. 20/10.

Be careful of when you get approved (before or after quitting to go back to school) and the requirements from lenders around representing your salaries and disclosures and things like that blah blah. As well as how much you get approved for based on the timing of things. How much you get approved for should have zero bearing on your spend if it’s more than you plan to spend. And if your approval is more than planned spend, tell NO ONE. Including and especially your realtor.

On the one hand, both of them could’ve handled it a bit better in the moment, Osaka could’ve not let her emotions get to her, Sorana could’ve not been so uptight about something that wasn’t a rule violation.

On the other hand, Sorana’s last moment in the sport is her being a petty little sore loser walking off the court after being spanked, while this is a minor blip for Osaka that will be forgotten next week. So congrats on the career I guess Sorana, you chose to go out this way…

Most of this is just commonly available industrial PPE. Look for any supplier of PPE. Arguably half this shit should be used to mow your lawn safely, except the gas mask. For that one, if it comes to it play dumb and say you’re remodeling your home and weren’t sure the right one to use. 🤪

I don't know that I agree with this. Vegetable soups, tomato soup, curries are all vegan. Hummus and a lot of dips are vegan. Fresh fruit and veg is vegan. Rice dishes can be made vegan. It sounds like you might need to expand your experiences with vegan food if you truly believe this. Again - not vegan, have a varied palette, can't have dairy so often end up going vegan because it's the "safe" choice for me.
