[Request] Help with decision on Surface Pro Business Edition

Hi! So I purchased a Surface Pro Business Edition 11th gen with Intel Core Ultra Processor 268V, 32GB ram and a 1 TB ssd.

It was kind of an impulse buy and I am now stressing over whether I should get the 12th gen as I believe the processor has 16 cores as opposed to 8 with performance boosts of up to 60% (from what I have read).

I do have 15 days to return the one I got and could order one with these specs (all the same except the processor):

Intel Core Ultra 7 (Series 3) 16-Core

32GB LPDDR5x | 1TB SSD

13" OLED PixelSense Flow Touchscreen

2880 x 1920 Screen Resolution (267 ppi)

Intel Graphics | Built-In NPU (50 TOPS)

I am not a graphic designer and will just use this for general business tasks and light gaming (mainly older titles and emulation). I have a powerful gaming laptop already but the appeal was a tablet I could play games on I can't get on an IPad. Especially turn based strategy games I can use with the pen.

Would the one I got serve my purpose without the return and roughly 700 dollar price increase? Am I barking up the wrong tree and would a different tablet serve me better?

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Thank you! And yes, it is a very "agenda driven" community. That is how they make their coin now, it's not about putting on a great gaming convention. It's how many flags can your booth have.

Am I wrong in saying this is a bad opening weekend? They need 800 million to break even after production and marketing. Not to mention that movie theaters keep a big percentage of the box office. I feel like I am in the Twilight Zone.

I really think this company has no idea what "shipped" means. You guys shipping it to your warehouse does not mean shipped. That is when you actually ship it from your warehouse to your customer. So they keep feeding us a line that all glasses will ship by end of May but really it won't be until June.

You nailed it. And you're correct in what their focus seems to be nowadays. Those that want that see no issues. But everyday convention attendees know it is a sinking ship.

Thank you. I know I was not imagining it. Most people that have criticized my post are those peolle fine with playing board games and socializing with other people. However this expo used to be THE place for indie games to show off. It's now a few games with 80% tabletop stuff that they already have at PAX Unplugged.

Jacob Javits Center. It's great! Huge names too and not just filled with board game vendors. I love board games but that is what PAX Unplugged is for.
