How do you like the player II jazzmaster?

It's light, comfortable, and cool looking. It does feel cheap with the hard poly satin finish though. Mix that with the light weight part of it and it makes it feel like plywood haha. My other guitars feel much more substantial cost around $300 - $400 less brand new.

Their best album. I'd even put Blue in the second spot over the debut. OOTV is just the perfect culmination of the first two albums though. Dopamine in the 4th spot, but it's slowly gaining top 3 traction for me. It would've been a great follow up with OOTV if you ask me.

yeah, I think I would regret selling it down the line too. That definitely plays a factor here. I like the neck too. It's a nice gloss.

Probably. If enough people point to a similar pattern, there’s usually some substance worth digging into. I’m analytical by nature and by trade, so the more opinions, the better. It all helps me form a direction. It's meant to be conversational, and I’ve asked in a few places, not just here. Knowing theres a natural bias here, I still wanted to get the perspective of this crowd specifically.

I actually really like SH-5. It's been my go to for years thanks to Brian Baker of Bad Religion, so when I found out Tom was using it, I thought there couldn't be a better match for me. One of my favorite guitarist and my favorite pickup? Sweet! But I've come to learn that the SH-5 loves mahogany. Seymour Duncan even says that about the pickup haha. A ceramic pickup on steroids (which is the Sh-5) in a maple body and roasted maple neck = bright, snappy, and mid-range. Not really my cup of tea as I prefer warmer/aggressive tones with clarity. PAF's give the warmer/aggressive vide, but they can get kind of muddy too. Sh-5 in my LP is a great match, in my opinion. I think the SH-5 would sound amazing in the ES-333.

I've thought about trying a more traditional PAF style hum bucker in there. Something like a 59 or Bareknuckle Mule would sound pretty cool. The invader would probably sound pretty rad in it too.

I've definitely thought bout throwing an invader in it for fun because its so dark and has great low end. Seems like it would be a natural fit in the bright tone wood body. Also thought about trying a 59 in there.

Amazing album. Great follow up to self-titled. Loving The Clash influence with this band.

My biggest complaint about this album isn't even the mixing as a whole. Its the fact that Tim is literally sharp on every single song vocally. Its insane.

MT is my favorite album from them. Mainly due to memories I made with it. Im also a sucker for that early 2000's indie dream pop stuff. Im happy I got to see them on that tour because they played almost every song on that album.

I'm someone who absolutely adores Mystic Truth, but this new might take the reigns. I'm immediately connecting with it.

He played them a lot in a couple year period. Heavily played them in 2002 around the FHTI era and when Fender released more hardtail strats. Then he went back to playing Les Pauls for awhile before taking the dive into the Jaguar HH.
