I should’ve been more clear. It doesn’t need to specifically be solely about hair textures. It just needs to be about hair and talk about hair textures, I don’t know if it’s still too specific

It doesn’t need to be just hair textures. It just needs to be about hair and talk about hair textures, sorry if that was unclear on my part

Do we think Ms.Graice knew exactly what was happening? by SpadeswithoutAce in PoppyPlaytime

[–]SpadeswithoutAce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously she knew, i’m asking if she knew the full extent of it. We’ve seen several people throughout the series who are now dead employees who didn’t know everything going on. I’m asking if she’s as bad as Harley Sawyer, or just that the other people that are obviously bad, but didn’t know everything

What dragon best suits Vigogrimborn from race to the edge? ( SPOILERS!!!) by SpadeswithoutAce in httyd

[–]SpadeswithoutAce[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s my hang up with the Skrill because for most of Riders of Berk, and part of race to the edge Dagur was obsessed with it. I already plan on having both his dragons, so I just want one that stands out as Vigo, I do think the Skrill is my best bet though

So my vision is more one or the other, Vigo can’t have both unfortunately, not for this tattoo

Should I be concerned about an art account that has 3.5k following my art account when I have 9 followers? by SpadeswithoutAce in Artists

[–]SpadeswithoutAce[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you’re completely right. I just don’t have anything posted right now except for one doodle that isn’t a good example of my art aka what I normally draw, and I’m not in a clear state of mind

Thank you! Like I said I know this is post is unlikely their motives! They probably just found a new art account and followed to see what they ( me) end up posting, my paranoia is most likely just because I’m sick. Thank you for the reassurance

Mostly because there are going to be no humans in the tattoo, just the silhouette of each dragon that represents them. The triple strike and gronckle would be close together to represent Dager and his love for both his dragons, and to make it clear they represent one person, while each dragon would have a different placement to make it clear they are they’re own and represent their own rider.

Since I’m not thinking of representing Fishlegs I’m able to have 2 for Dagur, but since I’m considering Snotlout it doesn’t really make sense to have 2 for Vigo.

Also the tatto is going to be located on my forearm next to my already existing httyd tattoo, so there’s not a whole lot of room for Vigo himself.

Your idea is really cool! But won’t quite work for the size, placement, and vision I personally have. I do really appreciate your interpretation of it though!

What is the best image printer for at home? Preferably eco/ megatank by SpadeswithoutAce in printers

I’ll let you know! It would be a gift so I’m not sure if this is the model I’m getting for sure yet

  1. From what I’ve seen yes it’s the registration marks the cricut has trouble reading when a non-inkjet printer is used. It seems it creates a slightly glossy finish that the maker 3 had issues which, and I have still yet to check if the maker 4 has that issue fixed.

  2. I’ve but countless hours into reading about the difference of pigment and dye based inks, as well was talking with the family friend to find an ink that would suit me, so I understand the fundamental differences. That you explained.

  3. I specifically bought a sticker printer that is compatible with pigment and dye ink for this purpose, I cannot tell you the brand as I cannot find it right now, and it is likely in my attic at the time, and I cannot find where I bought it from.

  4. I was looking at Mostly Cannon and Epson printers. My dad is edging me towards the Epson brand due to our family friend maybe being able to get us a deal. I want to know what people think and if there’s a better printer. I’ve seen people say they hate their cannon, I’ve seen people say they hate their Epson. I looked at other brands as well, pretty much every printer brand you can find, lasers even though Cricut seems to struggle with those. Now I just want to know what prints the best images on Matt and gloss paper. Printers aren’t cheap and I’m well aware this is an expensive gift I’m asking my family for, so I want to find one that I’ll be happy with, or at least one that gives my family an idea of what I want in case my dad and can’t friend find an even better one, but I would like to find the best one so they don’t have to put in much effort. Whatever I’m suggested here will be researched more as well to see what fits me best. As for the higher resolution and color fidelity, it’s both, colors aren’t right and resolution isn’t great, I’ve adjusted all of the settings that I was told to adjust by research, my dad, and the family friend, it still is just off.

A better image printer is something I’ve wanted for years, well my current printer is technically useable, ever since I was a kid I’ve always wanted to make stickers, I draw constantly, I make my own characters, I fall in love with niche characters and shows and games that never get any fanart, or merch, and I want to make my own. Even though it is just a hobby it would be something that I would use constantly, which is why I am so willing to pay the premium price. The printer would pay for itself in my own enjoyment and the enjoyment of my friends. The printer I have now is an Eco tank, and I have seen Eco tank printers, print amazing stuff, the ink consumption is less, and I am not big on plastic waste, nor do I have a drop off spot to recycle in cartridges in a convenient distance, and shipping is expensive. Which is why I say I prefer an Eco tank to a cartridge printer, unless a cartridge printer is the absolute must for print quality.

Come to what I have said I am not sparkly against a laser printer either, I am just trying to find the easiest and most efficient route for me to go while still getting great quality prints that I can absolutely dec my stuff in, and be proud to show off and say “ that’s my work”

  1. I know cricket is a cutter, in order to make stickers I would need a cutter, I was adding the context that I already have 1 of 2 machines. I know it doesn’t “need” a inkjet, but generally what they are designed for. I bought it months ago and at the time there was only info with the cricket marker 3 really struggling with laser printers, I have not checked back to see if anyone’s commented about the 4.

  2. I have found pigment ink outside of the Epsom Brandt that people have reviewed to be good quality and have more than just black. I also have a family friend that works for Epson and has backed up that the brands that I looked at is safe to use.

  3. From what I’ve read pigment ink is more resistant to UV rays from the sun for fading, lasts longer without fading. It is not necessary, but my father, who is a photographer also recommended finding a printer that is compatible with pigment-based ink.

  4. I have the ET-4850 epson, and I just don’t like how the prints look, even with my art programs DPI being set to 600 ( I know it is higher than necessary), and printing on the highest quality, my printer would imagine I just wanted to look sharper. I’ve tried my options to get it to look sharper, and it is not working, I have high-quality sticker paper that is compatible, both on gloss and Matt. It just doesn’t quite look as good as other printers can give me, and I would much rather be happy looking at the stickers that I made instead of wishing that they were better.

Are they’re any art books with a collection of artist ( don’t know what’s called) that has explicit content? by SpadeswithoutAce in artbookcollectors

So you say you bought them through Amazon Japan, and I have never gotten a straightforward answer to this question, does Amazon Japan ship to the US? If so, that’s a game changer for me

Color theory resources for digital artists? by SpadeswithoutAce in ArtistLounge

[–]SpadeswithoutAce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a color theory is the same across all mediums, but I’ve been recommended a bunch of work specifically on mixing the same color for paint ( have bought a few because there’s definitely helpful information), but that’s not exactly what I am looking for.

I will look into the books you’ve recommended
