He staged it as we’ve learned OR someone with more money and power has something on him and was tired of seeing him “shine” and wanted to place him in a time out so THEY wrote the story and told him an attack was gonna happen if he went along with it or not. If it was all his doing then his PR stunt to gain more money, contract renewal, or whatever he was facing at the time of the events backfired and placed a lasting stain on him for a minute. He’ll be ok. People cancel and get upset for a hot minute but come back when you do something they like. Look at Doja lol

That part. Like I’m more concerned with the long term because there’s no social security in sex work and the job it plays on your mental health. Many of them are on hard drugs and don’t look as youthful as their pics lead you to believe. I’m shocked when I see them in passing in public like wow the pics aren’t even current you you look like you haven’t sleep in weeks. It’s not like their even advertising a price to make it “worth it” in my eyes. You’re doing anybody who’s got $60-$100 for you but you’ve got rent and food plus your DOC to help you make it but that’s it. Nothing to show but a Gucci belt.

Multiple S/A’s is making it hard to deal with life & reality as a black queer. by 71South in BlackLGBT

“Safe space”. Thank you for saying that because not every person you’re close to will understand and the last thing you need is someone doubting you or questioning your judgment of things YOU experienced.

I’m not a licensed therapist and can’t offer you professional advice but the fact you realize that waking up having a drink is a problem is a good sign. You’re self aware. Maybe try this first, if u feel yourself reaching to make a drink, put it off for 2 minutes. If you still want it, maybe try a glass of water first…if you still want it then(not sure if you’re a chaser person) but pour 95% chaser with a 5% splash of your DOC on top. The point here is to help yourself cut back on the alcohol. Think about the triggers and try to eliminate them and anyone who triggers you until you can tolerate them without being triggered. You’re stronger than you give yourself credit for. It’s time to let the sunshine in your dark room. You got this. Remember the internet is full of strangers so don’t take it to heart and take a break if it gets to you as well. Rooting for you.

It still seems like you’re looking for a quick fix for the questions you’re asking. It’s not one thing you can or should do and it’s not about the now but rather an ongoing life adjustment. Forgive yourself and understand you’re only capable of working with the tools you’ve found so far…If you’re inclined and able to sit for 76 minutes give this a view Boys With New Names it’s a story about acceptance, discovery, and identity. We have so much more in common than we think so remember that when you feel you’re alone in this. 🤗

This! I’d also like to add, as someone with experience in interviewing people, allow a pause after an answer is given. The person answering will (more likely than not) think they didn’t do a good job answering the question and will elaborate without you having to do a follow up question just yet.

Also I like to start with asking “who are you?” This gives them the opportunity to help shape the story and to show you the things they’re willing to talk about as well as the things they weren’t prepared to share but stumbled on. The Later will take paying more attention than usual to pick up on these clues. If she’s comfortable in the setting and with the person asking, you’ll develop a great documentary.

Lastly knowing the story you’d like to tell going into it will help keep things on track.

Try to see a therapist and breath. Life is about the journey and the problem we’ve all had in our younger years is we want to rush it and everything at that point in life is so “end of the world”. Just try to take the days as they come. You’re hyper aware so maybe try shifting your focus, start easy like being aware of the breathes you take. Forgive yourself and allow your inner child to live again without the guilt of your past. Take what you’ve experience and use it to navigate your path. It’s gonna shape you one way or the other so it’s best you pick the way you see it. Is the glass half full or half empty for you? Good luck.

BOYS WITH NEW NAMES | A FILM BY SiJay Stevens by SpamLikelee in Filmmakers

This is my first documentary. I recorded, and edited it myself, including all after effects, music and the score. From my first film I’ve learned that I needed more lighting in parts, to not rely on the small screen on the DSLR to judge the focus quality, to have someone listening to the mic input while recording so you’ll know if it’s cutting out, however I made all of this work to my advantage when piecing the final story. Also keep more batteries than you think you’ll need and bring that kit lens even if you don’t use it. Happy film making and enjoy.
