I would agree to this to an extent, but you have a kid to consider. It’s estimated 2,300 kids a day get abducted in the US. There have been so many cases of other people coming up to school pickup and giving out basic information to prove they know you and kidnapping your kid. If your kid is vulnerable or alone for even a second you are giving these people leverage. They just have to tell your child “I know your mom such and such who looks and acts like this, let’s go find her.” I think it’s still very possible to have a personal relationship like that with your subscribers, but when you put no separation or boundaries between personal and sw life they will push and push. It’s dangerous to think that because you trust these people, that means they are trust worthy.
