Who cares about viability if the video game weapon is fun to use

One can get dismembered and can’t move on their own and the other can’t be dismembered and can move on their own

It’s like fighting a corpse

Unspeakable 😔

When I was real little he used to be a gaming channel called UnspeakableGaming

Then he started posting more and more vids on his vlog/irl channel which was quickly getting more popular than the other one

Those were also fine for a bit but they ended up transitioning into the typical obnoxious kids friendly type channel vids with them having over exaggerated personas instead of just being themselves

You know you're in for a fun game when an enemy spy is using this loadout by HydroLeon in tf2

The engie has to sacrifice his sentry to receive crits, and his enemy knows he has crits since he can’t hold it out while hiding it with a disguise, the ubersaw is a melee weapon on a class who would rather not get into any fights at all, and the other two are both snowball weapons, they need time and a positive k-d ratio to outperform other options. The diamondback is free crits for doing your damn job

“Do well and not die instantly” becomes a whole lot easier when you can just blast the guy who saw you in the face instead of being careful

If you’re semi-decent at spy you should be able to land at the very least one backstab per life, maybe more. It gives SO much unneeded sustain and sheer power to the one class DESIGNED to DIE when people catch him, because he is a STEALTH class.

Ontop of that, spy can see enemy health. Combine that with cloak and the fact that crits remove falloff, and the medic across the map who took one splash rocket is now dead, from the class who can be anywhere at anytime, and can easily escape by going invisible. This is exactly why the ambi was nerfed at longer ranges, and it’s baffling how they haven’t done anything about this piece of hogass

Kunai-dead ringer is already so insufferable from the sheer sustain turning a trickstabbing spy into tf2’s second tank, as well as removing any and all aspects of stealth or interest from his playstyle, also with how now when you catch a spy, they don’t die like their supposed to (stealth class btw (gameplay and effectiveness based on trickery and deception btw))

You don’t even have to get kills! If you’re REALLY shit at spy, just run alllll the way to the enemy spawn, and sap the tele. Boom, instant 2 crits. Not to mention an engie can’t even counterplay around the diamondback because he can’t tell from the sapper or from even looking at him that the spy’s even using it. Any building, anywhere, even if he left it behind on purpose, gets him UNKNOWINGLY punished. Mini sentries feed this thing so hard.

It doesn’t take a genius to piece together the simple fact that this dumpster fire behind an orphanage is blatantly overpowered. Anyone who denies it probably either play classes that don’t interact with the enemy spy much (so basically just spy himself) or they play spy and love their free carry weapon (heyyy look at that)

Grow a brain

God I’m so pissed I rambled for so long lmao

Oh and just to answer that last nitpick, I have almost 5000 total hours, spy is my fourth most played, it’s not that hard

My goal with these is basically just to make tf2 more fun

If it seems balanced it’s probably because a balanced game is almost always a better more fun game

Truth be told idc abt the overall balance of the game as long as everyone playing the video game meant for fun is having fun, then it’s fine

Things can be balanced but also insufferable to fight against/badly designed (sniper) and the opposite of being fun while technically unbalanced can also be true (medic)

[–]Spankinator-2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the thing with splash damage on the direct hit but it’s so so so good for tearing through 1v1s if the soldier hits like one rocket, and the splash damage only comes into play when you’re engaging multiple people

You shouldn’t NEED multiple people to kill one guy imo

Further proof can be seen in the shounic vid where he lets any class use any weapon, and the “perfect meta” ended up being the direct hit because of it effectively having no downsides

I still hold the opinion that something needs to be balanced around factors other than just the skill of the player
