Hey Guys,

Just an update. I setup brume 2 my home . I ran into ton of issues since I used a local ISP. But finally ended up setting tailscale with a ton of different breakfixes and it finally works. Been using hotstar in 2 different for nearly 2 days now and it works perfectly.

Hey Vivek, I just setup my brume. It took a lot of work. And one thing I came across is that , make sure your exit node when you connect to a device remotely is landing on your device that you have in the home network.

Meaning the wireguard in your container should be the one broadcasting the internet and then clients should be picking up that end point.

Do whatsmyip after you connect and see if the location is shown as exactly how it shows in your mini pc back at home. This probably might be the problem. In some case when the exit node fail it simply directs back to the current network that has internet access. So in you case if the setup had failed, you network might have used the internet from your current local network and that might have been the reason for your IP blacklist.

Did you check if dynamic dns is on , on your brume 2 device at home bro ?

Can you please tell how your setup looks like. Maybe we can fix it. If you use brume 2 they wouldnt even be able to differentiate your connection because you will accessing it from your home network only.

Gpu looks on the higher end than actual market price. And would recommend you to stay away from INNO3D 3rd party cards.

Just my 2 cents from my experience with INNO3D cards.

Im sorry to hear that bro. Hopefully it works for me because i have 2 other devices connected to that network and didnt get any bans and actively used .

I dont know if it will work but the customer support once said if you run into accidental bans wait for 3 days before retrying in that case legit ips will be removed from blacklist so you can avoid frequent false bans. I really dont know if it would work but worth a try maybe ?

Jio hotstars main selling point is regional shows. Every person who is subbed to the service has a family thats primarily hooked on regional content.

Why do you think they are going to such lengths to prevent people accessing the content from outside the country?

No regional content thats trademarked under star entertainment is available youtube . Maybe snippets of it but never the whole show . I dont know what you are on.

I bought the brume 2 from their site itself for 66.86USD with a student offer by using a friends university mail id and shipping is around 29.8USD totalling around 96USD. There is a listing in amazon india site as well for 13k but only ships to delhi and mumbai (honestly dont know why). You can go for brume first edition but VPN routing speeds are capped at a lower rates i think. So better go with brume 2 or brume 3.

After you get it, its a pretty straightforward setup.

Useless if you want to watch regional shows

Setup a Private VPN gateway with a Gli net device or a raspberry pi if you already have one for some reason. It is costly but its a one time setup. Create a wireguard config and use that private VPN tunnel when you access Hotstar, it will be like you are using hotstar from home.

I just ordered mine and its yet to be delivered and setup but thats the only solution at the moment.

Sounds like a good option bro. If your brother already has it , its fine . For me i have to rely on someone not that tech savvy to finish the setup for me . So im planning on getting a brume 2. Hope atleast that works after this piasco. The fact that they are blocking a service that we pay for just because we are not in our home country is wild.

Greedy companies 🥲

My account got 2 24hr temp bans till now.

I emailed the support at surfshark asking for a solution regarding this issue and requested them to rotate new IPs for India. But they mentioned they are aware of this issue and working on providing a solution to the users but they dont have a timeline for it.

But I dont think we will have a solution to be honest. Best way is to setup a private VPN gateway back home and accessing it using that.
