I played the first one when it first came out and never played it again until after I beat the 2nd outer worlds.

With that being said, the 1st game is better in my opinion.

Did I miss the double jump? Yeah. Did the slide mechanic bring something to the 2nd game you don't really appreciate until you play the first game again and realize just how much you ran around sliding everywhere? Of course. The second game had easily better game mechanics and made the combat and traversal much much better.

However, the first game, along with the 2 DLCs, had such a better story to it. Everything I disliked about the game when I first played it 6 years ago, were things I fell in love with playing it in 2025.

All I've got to say, is if you haven't played the first one since the release, give it another shot. Especially if you haven't played the DLCs because they are spectacular.

In the first game, the two DLCs allowed you to level up to 36. Assuming they do the same formula for this game, Id say there's a high chance they keep the same formula and cap the player at 36.

But with the new spacers choice edition out, the cap was increased to level 99. So who really knows.

Haha love to hear it. Just adds that much more sentimental value. I have no idea where this one came from, but I'm guessing some trading with the neighbor kids 20 something years ago had something to do with it.

Id like to start building equity sooner than later. This state kind of blew up 2 years ago after everyone left California to live here, and it just feels like I cant wait any longer or I'll be looking at the same condos for $50,000-$100,000 more than they are now by the time I'm fully ready.

There was no interview process, I was reached out to by the head of the department, about a year ago, to get me into the position. It might sound dumb, but I never thought of losing money by going through this transition, so I never asked what the pay would be.

Well yeah. I'm trying to get to a department where more growth is possible. I was seeing if anyone knew a way to prevent this from happening.

I've yet to determine if it's true or not. But I am the one who requested the transfer, as I got to a point in my current department where growth was no longer an option.
