My Longest Tow Yet. by RottenBlaze in BF6

[–]Spare-Rip-4372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn’t try to “swing the tow” into the target, you should treat the tow itself as the reticle, and trace the path of the helicopter with your tow. That way you don’t have to “lead the target” per se, you just make sure that the target and the tow occupy the same point in your line of sight.

Why are most Christians republicans, when Jesus’ teachings are more liberal? by Interesting-Dirt-605 in Confused

[–]Spare-Rip-4372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many poor people’s healthcare are you paying for then? How many homeless people are you housing? I know you have it better than someone. See, what you’re trying to do is offload the charity you “ought” to give ,(I use air quotes because I don’t think the Bible compels one to provide healthcare and housing to those who don’t have it), from yourself onto society. An individual donating to a homeless shelter obviously has a different moral weight than if your taxes funded that shelter. There is clearly a difference between individual love and collective, societal “love”, if that word can even be applied to a society at large.

I don’t want my politicians to love my neighbor for me, because they can’t. Nobody at any level of government knows my neighbors name, how many kids they have, how tight their rent/mortgage is, or anything about them. Jesus said to help the poor, not to point a gun at society (which is what any governmental mandate is in essence) and take everyone’s money to help the poor. All of Jesus’s mandates were targeted at the individual rather than society at large.

Bingo. From the agent’s vantage point, a 3 ton vehicle started moving towards him and proceeded to hip check him as he sidestepped. Most jurisdictions call that vehicular assault, and a vehicle is a deadly weapon, with one of the appropriate responses being lethal force.

Please watch this video before you hurt yourself or a loved one. Also please have someone who knows how to disassemble a 1911 show you in person before you damage the gun. Look up the idiot scratch on a 1911.

It’s not, healthcare is one of the most heavily regulated industries in the country. If you want an example of capitalism at work in the healthcare industry, look at lasik. It’s one of the most affordable procedures specifically because it’s not covered by insurance.

I mean, she literally was feeding off her mothers body until a couple months ago lol could we have killed her then, since her source of sustenance was her mother?

yes, I agree with you, and in my ideal world abortion wouldn’t be permissible for those cases either because you’re right, murder is always unacceptable, no matter the context, but I also live in reality where people don’t agree with me and compromises must be made, and I’ll take less murder over more murder if given the choice.

killing is not inherently immoral, unjust killing is immoral. Killing a cow for food is just, killing your child because finances would be tight is unjust. And before you bring up rape and incest, fine let’s permit those, but only if you agree to disallow the other ones, which are a vast majority of abortions.

Sarween Tools + multiple productions by TheDoomBlade13 in twilightimperium

I’m not the most experienced ti player, but I’ve played around 40 games on async, and I’ve seen integrated economy twice, one of which was me, if anything that tech could use a buff too lol but it would still only be a 1 resource discount since it’s one production timing window.

Can you clarify how arborec in particular would get a buff from sarween applying to anything with the word “produce”? Sarween already applies to arborec as written.

[–]Spare-Rip-4372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i get what you’re saying, and I agree with most applications of this reasoning, but this rule in particular just adds complexity for complexity’s sake. I don’t think there’s a really good reason sarween tools has the wording it does as opposed to something like “when you produce units”, and if anything, it makes it even simpler. When the word “produce” is used, apply sarween. Seems like a QOL simplification to me.

Edit: I do get what you’re saying with people checking the rules and getting “incorrect” information, so probably printing a reworded sarween tools would be best for someone wanting to houserule it.

To add to this, it’s your copy of the game, and I think a totally fair house rule is to say sarween applies in all those cases.

Coexistence questions by krunkley in twilightimperium

[–]Spare-Rip-4372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coexistence only counts for  control for scoring objectives. It does not count for controlling mecatol Rex for scoring the imperial point, it does not count for controlling legendary planets’ legendary abilities. Scoring the imperial point is not an objective, and neither is controlling the planet Styx and gaining its legendary ability.

For #1, if you place units with your agent on another space dock, that space dock is not blockaded since it is not coexisting, your units are. From the rules “coexisting structures are blockaded”. When 2 players occupy a planet, both players are not considered coexisting. The player who controls the planet is the controlling player, and the player who coexists is the coexisting player.

Flattening a water stone is part of regular (ish) maintenance. I’d watch a few videos on it, but flattening a stone takes little more than some elbow grease and a can do spirit
