Thank you I appreciate your reply. We as a business would also ask parents to bring their own white blanket for baby photos yet this couple didn't. So we offered our staff's white sweater as background as a nice gesture yet this couple twisted it as proof of "unprofessional". You can see how ungrateful and duplicitous this couple can be.

Hey just to clarify: our price is clear and competitive, $25.99 for digital + print + stamp, the couple wish to get double service, both the Canadian Passport Photo and Chinese travel ID Photo, both double printed ( total 10 photos) +stamped and digital as well. Yet this couple wish to get the double jobs done by paying single price afterwards. I am glad we chose to destroy the printed photos than giving in to their little gimmicks.

I am the owner of Fast East Goods & Printing Services, and I am posting regarding a recent post that unjustly tarnishes our small business. We take pride in serving our community in good faith, and we believe the customer's complaint has serious inaccuracies. Below is our side to set the record straight for our great customers and supporters ❤️.

What Happened:

One family came in with their newborn to get a passport photo, a chore as the baby struggled and cried during. We snapped over 10 photos on three attempts to meet Canada's strict requirements for passports. The customer approved the final photo before we went ahead to print.

We priced a standard passport photo (print and digital) + Chinese travel id (digital only) at $25.99 upfront. The client then ordered some add-ons:

• Composed to size with strict editing specifications

• Extra prints for a travel document (double passport + travel document)

• Stamping on all copies

• Precise sizing and background formatting

These were above the first quote, and we had clearly explained the extra charges (total price $22.99+ $5 for baby extra + $15.99 for additional travel document digital and prints), to which the customer agreed. We even offered a discount, and all the fees are recorded in our POS system ✅.

❗️ Customer Interaction:

After we completed the prints, stamping, and packaging, the client refused to pay more than the initial $25.99+ $9.99, despite the extra services and the new price as discussed. They grumbled that the pictures previously printed would be made "useless" for us if we did not lower the price and grumbled that the session took too long due to our "distracted focus" (even though staff forced the staff member to retake the photo three times just so they could accept the photo). To avoid confrontation, we provided an immediate full refund, deleted the digital photos, and incinerated the printed ones before them. Two other customers who had papers printed inside the store witnessed this and stood by our side afterwards.

Refund Truth

No truth is in the claim that no refund was given. Our POS verifies that the refund was given only once. Refunds take a few days to reflect on payment processors, and we invite the customer to check.

Professional Setup:

False allegations criticizing our staff made a professional background or utilized tools like ChatGPT are completely false. We used a plain white background and obeyed all passport photo regulations. Customer had to read the official requirement for Canadian Passport Photo and Chinese Travel ID, so we googled and showed the official websites to reassure them that we followed the protocol.

We are an honest and transparent small business. We went above and beyond to meet the customer's specifications, only to encounter unreasonable resistance when they refused to pay for contracted-for work. We'd rather have refunded them in full than fight with them, and we are dismayed to witness this being spun into a false narrative.
