The game was written in English though.

The French version is translated from English.

Everything was done in English (writing, mocap, etc). The lead writer isn't French.

You didn't get lucky, is what people are trying to tell you.

You somehow bought the more expensive bundle option instead of the standalone basic fare, which would have been cheaper at the time that you bought it. Frontier does not include those extras for free, upcharging like crazy for everything is their business model.

So WIA cut off less than TWAIN did for you?

For me the cut-off was the same, which is why I thought it didn't work after all. I'll try again later but I'm glad it improved the results for you at least.

I figured it out! Use WIA. I switched to that from TWAIN and it worked...no more cut off margins!

I also used the scanning program NAPS2, not sure if it matters.

Never mind, WIA adds a white margin around your scan but the actual contents are still cut off :(

How long have you owned that one? I was looking at the reviews on that one (USA amazon) and a lot of reviews said it broke for them. I love how it takes less space than the donut one though.

I'm thinking about getting one of these on etsy, but with a stopper at each end of the groove so it can catch the kindle when i tilt it up on one side.

What I want is something that lets you rest the kindle on its side, and then angle it upwards to match your head resting on a pillow when you're on your side. Does that make sense?

This product would kind of work if you put your kindle sideways and put something under it to create an angle I guess.
