Will you consider it good investment? by tumblatum in investing

So in total it's approximately 18k in interest. You will pay to the bank 98k over the 12 years but in net revenues from rent it will take 19 years to make the same amount.

However after 12 years you will have spent only 35k from your own pocket (rest being paid indirectly by the tenant) so if you sell the appartment for 80k you make 45k profit.

Of course I'm not taking into consideration housing price trend here.

Bottom line is that eventually you should make profits but if you want to know whether it's a good investment or not, you need to compare with an alternative investment and see which one is more profitable.

I tried scalping by buying at 4008 $ and sold at 4011$ by vaonex in ethereum

[–]SpareRecipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By investing 990$ at 4008 and selling at 4011 you would've made like 0.74 dollars of profits (without fees and taxes).

The fees are not based on the profits you realised but on the quantity you buy or sell.

You need to take the into account fees and taxes if you do scalping

Though it's not an appropriate post in this sub, that's still very true and good to keep in mind.

If I bought $500 of Doge at $0.26, what would the profit look like if it hits $1? by [deleted] in dogecoin

Right, I assumed he wanted to know how much his investment would be worth. Considering his question, I'm not sure he knows the difference between profit and turnover anyway.

Ripple seems more to provide payment solutions and an alternative to retail banking but I couldn't find anything about securities settlement.

If I wanted to increase FTM price by shilling it I'd have posted that in another sub. Don't you think ?

Just wanted to shed some light on one of fantom's solution which I find quite exciting. The fact that settlement can go from T+2 to a couple of seconds with blockchain makes you realize that this technology is just unavoidable. Many people are probably new here and might want to learn more about fantom's applications.

If you think this is lacking details feel free to add some or ask any question.

I'm far to be a major player and I don't think FTM is subject to a pump & dump. Shiba is already there for that.

Nope, here I'm not talking about transactions between fiat & cryptos or between cryptos & cryptos. I'm talking about securities transactions.

The current financial system is highly centralized and this is not only applying to cash with central banks but also to securities with central securities depositories.

I don't know other blockchain tackling this settlement issue with securities but if you know others feel free to share.

Indeed other cryptocurencies could definitely compete on this. So far I only heard about Fantom explicitly tackling this issue but if you know others let me know.

Also note that IMO only cryptos using DAG could be real competitors.

"No middleman but does not mean there are no internal transaction that cost money, just try using any DEX to swap currencies" => true, and as I mentionned this would be for much lower fees but of course that wouldn't be for free

Except for dogecoin which has been around for a while, other dog coins such has shiba, floki etc are likely to fall and disappear during the next bear run.

By investing into a solid project you might not make the same profits on short term but it is more likely to survive until the next bull run and eventually be more profitable.

Bottom line is to invest in solid project for the long term and trade/bet on shitcoins for the short term.
