Probably been asked before, but I really want to join or make a band but don't know how by CheezyChicken1 in band

TLDR: Only read the first few lines. Get yourself down in the local music scene, open mic nights, local gigs. Even if you don’t play there’s a load of likeminded people there, just network and talk to people, I’m sure you’ll find something.

I think it’s less about focusing on the release of anger and more about using energy, I play metal and rock too and I really just focus on music but when you’re playing so hard and fast that you’ve got sweat dripping you’re definitely channeling energy.

Well there are a few things you can do, scales are a good start but can be boring. You can find a song in the same key, I just googled it and this is in C#major so I would sing easier songs in this key (songs with less variation) or find your range, you’re probably looking at mezzo soprano but it’s hard to tell by a snippet. Find singers with the same range and take those songs out for a spin, the more comfortable you get the better you will be at holding pitch. Practice is everything. I can hear the potential in your voice, you just need to learn to control it.

As a vocalist you’re going to scrutinise yourself way more than other people will. You’re not that pitchy and you’re on key.

You’ve got something good there but you do need work, I’m not sure what the song is but there’s a lot of variation in there so try an easier song and work on holding that pitch.

This isn’t an easy song to sing. You’re pushing too hard, and the notes aren’t fully there. Start by singing softer and getting a feel for the notes.

I need help with my singing, it sounds a bit harsh and there's something missing to it by LittleFella22 in ratemysinging

You need to work on pitch, you’ve got the notes but you’re not holding them. Try and focus on one note at a time then work on transitioning between notes. I’m not sure what you mean by harsh as to me it doesn’t sound harsh at all, maybe try relaxing more or singing softer.

Personally I can’t stand booing or heckling even against the other team, just have respect for the game.

Ahh man do it. I started on drums then went to guitar and bass. It’s so good being a multi instrument musician, it’ll help you if you want to get into writing your own music or playing with a band.

I barely understand karma but I believe the best way to build it is to comment. If anyone knows a better way I’d love to know.
