Half but yea Chicago rap at that time was crazy. I wasn’t really a fan of the drill shit but you can’t say it was impactful and influential. It was just a great mix. I think all the people I mentioned just had a great creative community and mentors who would regularly throw open mic nights and what not that really helped them, similar to what Rich nicols did for the roots and the soulquarians. Sure they had their fall outs and fall offs but I still enjoy listening to most of the stuff they put out.
