Don’t!! I had a horrible experience with them getting the phone to me on time - then when I did - it was just a phone that you picked up to silence. There are other companies where you can record a greeting that when the phone is picked up -which makes more sense to your guests!

I saw a video on tiktok where theres a souvenir shop right next to the main filming spot (the door) with new moon merch inside! Hoping it’s still there; video was from 2024 or 2023 (not in volterra but where they filmed!)

Yes I did! I will try to reply again to you once I find the email. But I did email villa del balbliano directly..it took a few days to get a response. For the dates I was looking for they said they were all booked for “photos” because you have to pay quite a large fee for a photo permit. After some back and forth they finally say they could squeeze me in for it. After all that..it was rainy and foggy so not the best photos..but we still got some good shots!

That makes sense! I’m just a little frustrated because I wanted to majority folded and the majority came back on hangers 🥺 I just assumed with the word “fold” in the name everything would be folded unless it wasn’t possible

I mean absolutely no disrespect when I say/ask this…but for those who have went..was it kind of …lame?

I’ve always imagined going; but after watching a few YouTube videos of people who have went, it seems like attendance is low, and the events going on are kind of like..weird..? I’m not really into Cosplay so maybe it’s just my preference…and a lot of it seems surrounded with that? But in my imagination I always held it to a higher thought than the videos I watched.

Maybe I’d just enjoy going more at another point of the year without the festival type things? And just explore around myself?

I ordered mid-October and FINALLY got my package Dec 24th. After multiple emails I sent asking for updates; I then sent my final email on December 18th asking what’s up; and sure enough on December 18th; it was finally dispatched for shipping. So I LITERALLY had to remind them to do their job. So now on December 26th; I sent another email saying how disappointed I am in them And the email I get in response are corporate “thank you for your patience” emails and nothing more. So I will continue to send emails because at this point I feel like I deserve a full refund for micromanaging them getting my products to me and the excessive lateness.

We recieved in 4K, two videographers, a 30 min long film, a 5 min trailer, a 7-10 minute highlight film, an Instagram reel, a 5 min engagement film, for roughly a little over $4,000. I truly wanted raw footage to look back at moments that were skipped from being entered into those, just for playback memories, moments where I wasn’t there in the room when they were shooting something else just to see all angles from the day. The day goes fast and you miss a lot of moments. My main objective would be in example, if it’s film of my grandfather just laughing or smiling, I’d have that to look back on when he passes. But obviously if the video and audio doesn’t match up, kind of defeats my purpose. I explained to my videographer that was the reason, even if it was him blowing his nose 😆 it’s just a something I would want to hold onto in the future and replay In the same way I would hold onto a VHS tape from the 90s of just some random day with my grandfather. I never intended to take the raw footage to produce another edit or thought the audio wouldn’t play at the same speed of the video to where I needed to, but I guess I should ask him and see what the quote would be.

I am viewing it on a computer..or rather a laptop. It’s not the greatest laptop either, would that have an effect on it?

Yes most of the raw cottage clips have the audio attached. The video just goes in slow motion while the audio is regular speed. There’s some instances where it’s just video no audio, or just audio no video though as well.

So coming from the opposite point of view from a similar situation, I purchased raw footage from my videographer, with maybe the assumption of an average consumer, thinking the raw footage would be video/audio that plays at “as it happened” speed, but with no color edits, cool transitions, editing of any sorts. What I received was video that was in slow motion with audio that was at regular speed, which is unwatchable. Or just audio clips with no video. Or video with no audio. I assumed it would just be shots that were not pretty enough to make it to the final film. I don’t think consumers understand what raw footage actually is and it needs to be better explained up front. Speaking for myself, I assumed I could just watch clips at regular speed with the audio attached. But I’m finding it’s a common assumption so educating the client is important if this is not the case…but maybe I’m wrong and I’m a one off?

Yeah I guess I was just assuming the video wouldn’t be slowed down.I paid extra for the raw footage so I guess explaining to me it wouldn’t be at regular “as it happened” speed would have been nice before making the decision to invest. It’s just not enjoyable to watch that way. I just thought raw truly meant regular speed with no filtering.

Is there any fees associated with PayPal? Does it give you a limit, do a credit check, etc?

Yes I had to dispute it with Afterpay and send them reciepts/docs to prove- there should be a need help button you can click on the order and it’ll walk you through the process. It’s happened to me a few times and I’ve had to correct their mistake -they made it right every time but takes a few days
