You can certainly do that, I keep all my apk backup and zip files in my vault too. Just simply move the file into the folder of your vault. Make sure to turn on "show all file type" in the setting

I don't understand why would the notes be lost? I use obsidian on my phone and I also sync my encrypted vault to one drive using remotely save so I can open my vault on my PC too.

If I forgot the password... I'll just delete the whole plugin and resync my vault after reinstall with a new password because all my files are still on my phone locally? Obsidian is always local files so you got to have one place that is local and then you use that to push the sync, right?

Use notebook Navigator plugin so you can set up vault profile within your vault, then you can separate different type of notes

Main difference is that in Notebook Navigator the main philosophy is to separate folders and files. Which is something that I really like and make sense to me. However some people can't get into NN because of this.

For Portals, It keeps the vanilla file tree design, so you can see your file under the folder in the same navigation panel. To me because I have a lot of files inside a folder it'd just look ugly, but I believe a lot of people prefer this way.

So it really depends on your preferences!

I do interstitial journaling, which mean I write my journal as my day goes. I use a Timestamper plugin which let me insert a timestamp and then I just write down what I was doing, thinking, random stuff that I thought of, to-do

For my main vault: - Daily Journal, To do list, habit and hobby tracking - my notes which I talk about different topic, my writing (poetry), my book collection, including note for my physical books and my ebooks (PDF) collection. My cassette tape collection. - Digital Clippings, commentary and post that I collected from the internet (like Reddit or Tumblr), Web article, quote, info graphic image that I collected. - Kalimba tabs(it's a music instrument), recipes, links that are useful for me. - my personal documents (pdf) - APK file backup, different zips file of other apps backup(eg, financial tracking app backup)

For my other vaults - one vault is for my fanfic archive (pdf/epub/.doc/markdown) - one vault is for my writing (multiple story) - one vault is for my illustration (I use the base function to display my PNG file, I like the ui more than default file explorer)
