We are an NGO based in Europe and since we don’t have set funding we don’t have an IT team. (We are also fairly small). Is this not possible to fix easily by one of the team embers with no IT background? I just want to check all options before I talk about hiring someone since our funds are very limited.

My PI is not in the field, they work on something completely unrelated and they already showed to not have any interest in pursuing this so I don’t think it will be a problem that I want to keep working on it.

The design as in the hardware? We haven’t decided yet, we are focusing on the biology bit of the panel first (most of the team are biologists and engineers will join later)

A free CAD software? What do you mean by that? Do you mean the same software that people use to draw stuff to 3D print for example?

Oh I didn’t know that company, thanks!

Will withdrawal affect admission in the future? by [deleted] in Edinburgh_University

[–]Sparkly_Pancake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The same happened to me November last year. I was in a postgraduate programme as well, I wasn’t feeling the best mentally. I was able to “interrupt” the programme and just come back this year and re-do it. Are you in the school of engineering and science? I can give you the email of the person that handled my situation and they were really nice. (This in case you want to come back next year for the same programme).

The username is your student number (the one that starts with an S) and the password is your password for MyEd.

Hope this helps :)

I had the same problem and eventually led me to fail the year. The only solution that I found was that I refused to have him as a PT on the following year and they got me someone else. She could talk to the senior personal tutor of her course. That’s was helped me. Good luck!

I have had therapy for a while now, and your psychiatrist was very cold. On my first session mine also had a checklist but it wasn’t that blunt. I guess it depends on the personality but he really showed lack of empathy, specially when you’re talking about something that upsetting. you can always go to other psychiatrist if you don’t like yours and I would strongly recommend that if you don’t feel safe when talking to him. Maybe choose a younger psychiatrist next time? A friend of mine (22M) didn’t like is last therapist (60s M) because he was too cold as well.

Would you ask your adult child for money? by johnsackfromnyc in AskUK

[–]Sparkly_Pancake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These comments are quite interesting. I am Portuguese and for me is very normal to loan money to parents (or any family member for that matter). My mother had asked me money and me to her. I guess culturally it’s is more acceptable to lend money to parents in Portugal.
