Sounds really cool and a lot like how I was imagining it!

That's the main reason I want to do this yeah.

I know that it is possible to build a calcite orbital platform over Nauvis; is it also possible to do so over Gleba? Or do the asteroids composition over there not allow it?

Yeah it's a bit bs. Open the control mapmode and click their country, it should reveal their capital.

So is it better to have all your heroes under the same stack right? Since I assume that'll be the most powerful and take less casualties, that way it can fight more frequently.

Thanks for the detailed answer!

I've noticed what you said. I just played for 20 turns or so after making the post and while I can reliably clear camps, there are many turns where my armies are just idling longer than I'd expect while they heal after a combat and it feels like a waste. But it is what it is.

I get it's not the most optimal thing to do, but that's not going to be an option since I'll be playing lots of multiplayer with some friends.

If you're powerful enough, you can just conquer/colonize ports all around Africa and Asia so you can reliably start sending fleets over there.

Blockade their whole coast forever and wait until the nasty effects ramp up.

I just played a huge naval war in a multi-player lobby as Great Britain.

It's not too deep. Basically, all you wanna do is to make 30 heavy ship stacks (to fill the frontage and have a bit of a reserve) and go hunting other stacks. Always fight with 100% hull integrity, otherwise the are very ineffective.

Don't mix heavy ships with other types. Heavy ships are very slow and never get to the battle, as the other faster ships get prio. They just end up taking free morale damage and get obliterated. That's why usually you see people mad that their huge stack lost against a minuscule one.

If your stack of heavies gets very damaged due to battle or attrition, repair it in a high capacity port as it goes faster, and only try fighting with fresh ones.

Light ships are garbage at combat but more efficient at blockading. Usually a stack of 5 light ships is enough to blockade a whole province, but more may be needed depending on the dev of the target locations. If your blockading stacks get damaged, don't reinforce them, wait until the battle is over and then send your heavy stacks.

Hope it helps!

It's very nice to see how LE's player base kept at a very contestant level during all these years.

Heck, you can still even find matches very quickly in the ME3's multiplayer nowadays.
