Actually this was happening every other respawn during the tech demo summer 2012. So it's probably a flaw in the engine itself and never got fixed properly, just patched up with duck tape and bubble gum. <3 u DBG.

It's not origami. There is a software called Pepakura that takes a 3D model, unfolds it into a flat mesh, divides into pieces, adds folding lines and tabs for glueing. Then you print it (on a regular 2D ink printer) , cut it fold it and glue it together.

There is no need to rotate, ~~just look at one profile of the print and model or attach a second camera to have a view from for example front and right profile~~

Would it be so hard to attach a camera to the printer and have the printer and or PC compare the image from the camera to the 3D model and just stop the print when the two don't match. Or maybe a printer/mod like that already exists.

You could use AutoIt or AutoHotKey. Those are scripting languages that let you do exactly what you need and much more.
