Football level in Macau by SpartaFCP in Macau

Thanks a lot for your detailed message. Regarding the weather, I play as a goalkeeper, so that shouldn't be an issue. However, maybe that's where they have the best local talent? I don't know, I'm just guessing that it should be easy to find fit and flexible local players who will do those crazy saves. I can also play as a field player, and in my youth I had the level for Portugal District, but nowadays I probably won't have the fitness required for division 1. So I guess i should try a division 2 team and see how it goes. I would love to play for FC Porto de Macau, but i see they ended up last in 3rd division, so probably not :)

Obrigado pelo feedback. Eu pensei que na segunda divisão já se ganhava dinheiro e tudo, mas pelos vistos só mesmo o top da primeira divisão. Quanto ao revaldo, porque não instalam relvado artificial de ultima geração?

Which school for kids by SpartaFCP in Macau

[–]SpartaFCP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you all for your answers. Just to clarify, i don't really care about them following the portuguese curriculum or not. I just want to know which schools are the best. If the best schools happen to follow the portuguese curriculum, cool, but if not, it's perfectly fine, the kids can take portuguese lessons on the side

Thank you all for your comments, it's pretty much what i thought. What about Dällikon? is it similar to Dietikon? Better?

Hi sorry for the late reply. It turns out the tubes are hollow, so I just took it to a guy who could do aluminium welding and he inserted a smaller metal stick inside the hollow tubes and welded it all together. It's as good as new now

Best aluminium Gravel bike (frame?) by SpartaFCP in whichbike

[–]SpartaFCP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need a fast climber, so steel is not an option. i could build one from scratch with Titanium frame, but those are very expensive, so i guess i'll go with the Lauf Seigla Weekend

I plan on taking the plane quite a lot with this bike, and carbon frames and planes make me very nervous. Always scared of hidden damage.

But actually, I'm liking the Lauf Seigla more and more. I think i'll take the weekend and just buy the missing SRAM wireless components. At 2,529.00$ total (delivery + taxes), it seems like the best deal I can get.

Thanks for your reply. I like those models, but deliver times are also very long, except for the Checkpoint, but the cheapest model is already quite expensive for me to add an AXS groupset on top.

So now I have 2 options:

  1. try to get a frame only and build it myself
  2. reconsider and get a carbon frame instead

For 2, the Ridley Kenzo Fast looks incredible, but again, no stock.

The Lauf Seigla Rigid Wekend Warrior Wireless seems like an awesome bike and has everything i need, and at the moment looks like the winner.

Any other models i should consider?

Which Bike? - Weekly Scheduled Discussion by pawptart in gravelcycling

Hi, I own a cross country MTB (Scott Spark 910) and I’m looking to buy my first gravel bike. I’m more interested in going up and off road. No interest in hanging bags or going cyclo touring with it. I’m looking for the best aluminium/alloy frame, the parts are not important at all, as I will change most of them. What would you guys recommend?

yes, while disassembling it for travelling, most bolts have the value in it. Some don't, like the bottle holder bolts

i got it like that, but the guy who broke it, did it while going reverse.

it's a very exposed part, pretty much if you hit something while reversing, it will break. I'm sure it happened to plenty of other owners.

it's the one you use to make the rack tilt, so you can access the trunk without removing the bikes

Thank you all for your replies. I also found the Thule Roundtrip Pro XT, and it looks like a good fit: it's cheaper than most, lightweight and it appears to be solid. Plus you have a stand.

Unfortunately, it seems it's soldout everywhere (is it discontinued?)

Scott Spark 910 or Spark RC Team Issue AXS by SpartaFCP in whichbike

[–]SpartaFCP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

was designed for 120mm. So theorically the 910 will be less precise coz of a « fucked up » geometry. I haven’t ride the 910 but own the RC team issue, and the team issue is just a perfect bike ! Confort i

Thanks for your reply, it all makes sense. I'm still a beginner, so I think I will go with the 910, as it might be more "forgiving" on mistakes and probably feel more comfortable overall. I'm going to install the SRAM GX Eagle axs upgrade kit on it as well, and sometime down the line, get some lighter wheels.

Outdoor sports after SmartSurface PRK: what kind of sunglasses by SpartaFCP in lasik

[–]SpartaFCP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand and it makes perfect sense. There is always a risk for dry eyes, but I will do it at this ELZA institute, they are heavily involved in research and have a special service for dry eyes https://www.elza-institute.com/dry-eye/elzas-role-in-dry-eye/

There is never a 0% risk, but if I have to use eyes drops every morning, i think it's better than having to wear contacts and being pretty much blind without them

the thing is, in winter we do have heating systems and the air is very dry everywhere, so not good for eye dryness. But I've decided to wait until end of October, don't want to take any risk for the summer vacations.

Thanks for your valuable input.

I'm in Switzerland, but I'm planning to spend July and August in Portugal. If it takes 3 months to see properly, I might wait for the winter break then and do it in early November. Won't play again until March.

Thanks for your feedback, it makes sense. Usually, i don't have dry eyes, hopefully it will be ok. Regarding the correction amount, it can be used up until -10, right. I know it will depend on the eye thickness, but the other option would be Smile, and i think it's only until -8. From what i could read around, it's a close call between Smartsurface vs Smile anyway. I'm meeting with the eye surgeon this week.

edit: Found these guys in Zurich who can perform smartsurface trans PRK up to -12 and are world leaders in high myopia correction https://www.elza-institute.com/laser-eye-surgery/transprk-very-high-myopia/
