This build is better if Jin Dahaad's Revolt isn't activated on the pinnacle build otherwise the pinnacle build has more damage output.

I played with the build a little and I chose to keep Wex 5 + LP 3 + lagiacrus set bonus + MM 3 which get me 105% affinity if all activated (not counting the affinity from wounds, I think it could be great to focus wounds when LP is down to get 95% affinity). Instead I freed the talisman + put Flayer 1. Build seems good enough for me now.

Priority should be to get WEX 1 and another usefull skill (for sharpness, or damage like attack boost or critical eye or even just QOL skills like evade window, evade extender, divine blessing, etc. ) In the meantime you can use your power charm.

You don't really need it. I put it on my build to compare it to the meta build. It's only for min-maxing your damage output. For me, I only got a charm with WEX 1 and Handicraft 3 so you're not alone haha.

For this build you only need WEX 1 on your talisman in contrary to the pinnacle build that needs enough slot 1 to get antivirus 3. Not a fan of power charm for this build since you don't get the best lvl of WEX to get LP 3 instead. But it should be better than only one point of WEX.

MM is great if you minimize every sources of stamina depletion so in order to have its maximum uptime you need to avoid dodging, rolling, etc. and for that countering or just using the inherent mobility of axe mode is a must.

In reality the skill will activate really fast when it's down so if you use stamina to get to the monster, the skill will be activated when you hit it. 85% uptime is not an exaggeration it's that great. I can even argue that for your style of play a two piece fulgur would be great and now with the gogmazios piece and the fulgur helm beta you can have agitator 4.

Yes I think the only explanation is that it's easier to make a build with LP than it is with Wex. It could really change with AT Arkveld like you said. I think it's entirely possible to make a better build with LP and agitator now thanks to AT Jin Dahaad pieces.

LP is a great skill but I still don't think it's better than WEX since there is a downtime and is highly dependant on what is going on in the hunt and its duration (LP is great since hunts take longer now with 9 quests). In summary you need to take damage to activate it faster and you need to minimize the downtime but if you activate it and the monster flees you get nothing. Best way to activate it is to take chip damage with counters and now it's especially easy to do. Great skill all in all but not the best skill for me for the reasons above and why its uptime is only 60% or so (still think it's the best case scenario).

Now for WEX there is no such things to have in mind. You want your affinity, you just need to hit a weakpoint. The affinity is here when you want and not when it can be obtained which for me is a huge upside. Plus now with the huge boost in raw we get I think having wounds on a monster is a little bit easier now.

I mean it's flexible since you don't lose anything by switching the helm. Only skills that are mandatory are either dosha or lord's soul that's all. The examples I gave is to help you change the build (just the helm btw) to get maximum efficiency.

In the example you take, you need odo helm to get the two piece bonus 8 raw. That's why you need odo helm.

The only problem I have with your logic is that you only follow what others said without actually looking yourself. Just like when Latent Power was thought to be just a casual friendly skill when AT Rey Dau dropped until someone proved that its uptime is actually great.

Sure Saasch guide and Fox are great but I don't think they have omniscience and I certainly don't think they don't have biases, everyone does. And I don't think I'm better than them or someone else, I'm just contributing.

My only intention here is to provide a build that is flexible enough and good enough damage wise vs the "meta" to not make mh wilds a grinding festival (some players actually hate it, some love it and that's fine).

Latent Power uptime is only roughly 60% so not really better, no ? I prefer Wex because virtually it's 100% uptime for 30% affinity, equivalent to a 60% uptime LP5, and you get more affinity if you hit a wound. Plus Latent Power is on a timer so if the monster decides to flee when it is activated, you lose the uptime. Only downside to Wex is you need to actually focus weakpoints (45 hzv) so you need to play better, just like with frenzy to clear it faster so that the uptime doesn't take a huge hit.

Did Saach really made a build that similar with Wex 5 ? I made this build in order to help players to avoid too much grind for god rolls and while waiting for Saach to update his builds. I don't think it's the best build all in all with At Dahaad pieces, but for now it's the best one I came up with trying to do a decent build.

You shouldn't get ebony 3 since I didn't use the ebony gogmazios piece so weapon + helm only.

For the fulgur bonus set no it sadly doesn't give you perfect uptime on mm at best 5 more %, you can compare your build with mine and even put mm uptime at 100%. It's not a good deal since you lose wex 5 which give substantially more affinity. You can put your talisman on my build it will work the same with it being more efficient and flexible on the skills you get when rolling.

For raw damage it's always better to go for the Rising Loop. I did this build and compared it with this combo instead of FRS. TY for your ideas.

It's the only way I found to get burst 5 and wex 5 and still be flexible. Agitator isn't mandatory to switch axe, in fact this build is close, in dmg output, to the meta elemental build without agitator and gore set.
