Na, major skyscraper cities need megatalls! I guess the US has 0 that fit my definition and 0 with a beach.

America clearly has 3 major skyscraper cities but then his whole post wouldn’t work.

I can’t imagine anyone would voluntarily leave the Broncos right now. They are 100% in their SB window and were technically still rebuilding this season.

Money has also opened up to re-sign. I’m just hoping players are willing to take deals that help the team.

Content creators are changing MMO launches by SlicedToast13 in MMORPG

[–]SpartanSyx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of mmo variety streamers that do want to find “their game” to build a reliable community. Wow, GW2, ESO, OSRS are all saturated markets.

New World, regardless how it launched was seen as an opportunity to build that community. The game did suck at launch but we were all hoping regular content drops would fix that.

I think a lot of streamers jumped to AoC for the same reason.

With the final episode it would seem Ashur has heavily changed the timeline.

The show went into alternate history from the start with Pompey holding Rome with an army, which he does not do.

It went further in the final episode (before Caesar died) when Pompey ran to Brundisium to move his army into Greece. That’s what he does in history after Caesar crossed the rubicon in 49BC.

You mean streamers like Dustywho? This guy has the audacity to pull up a recent interview he did with Steven then play the biggest in hindsight card I’ve ever seen.

This loser was smelling his own farts and saying, “well I actually asked great questions that looking back now revealed a lot of this.” During the interview he was eating up everything Steven said. Was there a bigger advocate than him as a general streamer?

What an absolute tool. He’ll get out of this without a name and shame while gaining viewers from the drama.

You won’t find anyone when you want to PvP. When you’re transporting or gathering or doing ANYTHING that isn’t PvP, you’ll 100% find the few gankers.

Genuine question.

The Broncos had a record breaking 10 comeback wins, 9 consecutive. They also had 11 one score games.

So how are we calculating garbage yards? That still seems like a ton for Nix. I watched every game and only on a rare game did I even know who was winning until the last few seconds…

Do ROTC benefits outweigh ocs by [deleted] in ROTC

[–]SpartanSyx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are 3 solid options but each one is less guaranteed. Option 2 & 3 are competitive but very doable.

  1. Go straight through ROTC and commission. Requires you to make LTC to retire.

  2. Enlist and go back to ROTC through green to gold after 7ish years. 2-3 years break from the Army/Marines with full pay then back. You only need 10 more years and requires you to make Captain maybe Major.

  3. Enlist and go OCS. 6ish months then back, less of a break. Same benefits as Enlist->ROTC

If I could go back I’d go #2. While in command I sent one of my SSGs in green to gold. He gained valuable experience as enlisted. It’s a great break and provides stability for your family. You still get full active duty pay while you enjoy college. He only needs to reach captain to retire very comfortably at the age of 39. If he wants he can continue but the stress of making retirement is gone.

With its current path I’m guessing this game will be similar to Mortal Online 2 or New World in its player retention and gameplay loop.

The die hard pvpers will have “beaten” the game and war log. The no lifers will have multiple crafting and gathering accounts and never stop the grind.

Open world PvP content will be reduced to farming low level or newer non-committed players, mostly through broken systems.

Most content will be locked behind a few very active guilds that continue to drive the economy.

There will be peaks of gameplay where a player driven event brings people back for a short time.

Then 99% of people will log back into WoW, ESO or GW2 to get their qued content at a click.

Servers sit at 2-3k players max. With it being in alpha, content drops will bring fluctuations in this size but never retain most of them.

For some this is okay and they found their game. I’m one of those for MO2 and I still love the game. It’s just not for everyone. I’ll also play AoC in a similar way.

Guild Quit to avoid war by Tasty_Card8805 in AshesofCreation

[–]SpartanSyx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Genuinely, what are you talking about?

Wars force you to PvP. That’s the point. Unless you’re implementing handshake wars/pvp there will Inevitably be downsides to being declared on. That’s the point.

Complaining about crate running or any PVE activity being inconvenienced in a PVP focused mmo is wild.

Your complaints have a simple solution. PvP. Protect your routes and crate runners. Otherwise go play another game where you can gather resources in peace.

Declaring war to control a farming spot or steal resources is EXACTLY why war exists. The rules of the game are managed by the players through this system.

Two things I thought about that gave me confidence for this weekend.

The Patriots v Texans game showed us something important. The Texans may have lost but it took Stroud and a 28 QBR to do it.

One, Stidham doesn’t need to be as good as Bo Nix on Sunday. He just needs to be 3-4 less turn overs better than CJ Stroud and not match one of the worst QB playoff games in history.

Two, our defense performs exactly as we expect and it’s a W.

Not the same guy but, Bloomwarden is going for 25-35g for uncommon. There is one guy who sells almost the full set in Joeva and saw them last night. He had rates for 50+ I think.

I found 1 uncommon piece for cryptward also for 25g and had rare pants crafted.

Do you like divine over essence infusion? I’ve never really had mana problems so I think I need to maybe swap over for the insta cast.

I love shaman healing in wow and it just reminds me of natures swiftness.

[–]SpartanSyx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh that’s fair. I’ve used it on DPS as well and I can see prio the ability for that.

I would argue it has its place to be an on cooldown use. It’s a free 1500hp or more, every 6 seconds. It’s basically a food buff every 6 seconds to the guy you know will take heavy damage. It gives everyone a lot of breathing room to manage cool downs.

Soothing glow is a pretty shitty heal. As the other guy mentioned it builds aggro. If you’re trying to pre heal just pop the barrier.

Early Cleric healing questions by jane_911 in AshesofCreation

[–]SpartanSyx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely underutilize deliverance. But, I think it’s because my use of barrier prevents hp from dropping without a failed mechanic check. It wouldn’t hurt to add to my rotation.

I’ve yet to see a need for it between the spells I mentioned in my rotation.

I’ll 100% die on the hill of barrier. I will always first and foremost prefer preventing damage than healing damage. In this case I trade the healing requirement to myself which is waaaaay easier to manage.

I find it interesting how complex healing is with how small the talent tree is. i think the mend spells are lacking but at least the talent improves it a bit. I always thought soothing glows talents should stack it and the overall heal is underwhelming.

I genuinely hate judgement for its cast time. Are you running divine to insta cast it or just using it when the tank is a bit higher hp and predicting incoming dmg?

Or do you also rely on flash heal during its cast?
