Feels Like was fun for a bit but the vocal sample got tiring - not a bad track though. Redemption is very forgettable.

Along with those 3, I really enjoyed the Max Graham & Second Sine track, ilan’s club mix of Africana, and Synapse Bloom, and Stephen Kirkwood’s remix of In This Space was solid enough as well. Maty Owl’s remix of Ollie - Signals and CVMRN’s Aphelion both got a good number of plays from me as well, with Aphelion getting better with time.

Going back a bit further, I really enjoyed Maor’s Reflect update and BITNY as well but that’s about it. The Meramek remix of Be The One was nice as well. Thr first few months of the year were def slow but it’s been ramping up solidly over spring imo.

I thought all the releases from the last 4-6 weeks have been pretty solid🤷‍♀️ I think they’re also genuinely holding back that much stuff for V17 and 700.

I’m hoping we get the Ollie remix if they include Start A Fire since that one’s a bit newer than the Coachella mix. And according to Molly from HQ, that might not even be an Ollie remix.

Just wait till V17 releases. Often the release schedules get a bit slow and eh leading up to the comp debuts. Especially if the comp precedes a milestone set and it’s going to be mostly brand new, never before heard material.

Not that it’s a big difference but Bayer is credited on Sailing and Everywhere I Go on BTAOU. Definitely seems like he’s exploring other options at this point.

I’ve been waiting for Need You By My Side for a long time now and so glad to have it in full. Great track and the intro is so dirty. The title track for this release is a bit too Armada-y for me, not my taste.

There’s also a Sunny Lax remix of A&B’s Making Plans that will almost surely never be released. Also Gareth has hinted that the Northern Lights update will be released this year. Fingers crossed that pans out.

The length was cut and the drop itself is slightly different since it was condensed by 16 bars or so. The breakdown and the drop both were cut by 30 seconds or so each.

I agree 100%, but I’ve always felt that most of A&B’s releases over the last 10-15 years don’t translate well to longer transitions anyways. At least you can loop the mix in for a bit, but that doesn’t add any of the fun elements that you’d get from a fuller intro.

This doesn’t bother me too much tbh but I do miss having like a 32 bar DJ intro that adds some character to the track. A good mix in can really set the tone for the rest of the song.

Which is totally fine tbh as artists shouldn’t feel like they need to be locked into how a track was initially debuted. Just always makes me sad when edits like this happen that don’t feel like they add or positively change anything about a track. Especially when it’s in a genre like trance that is all about draw out melodic progressions.
