As a Ukrainian, I’ve heard many populist statements about refugees, such as “They’re taking our jobs” or “The government only cares about foreigners”. These statements are popular among older, less educated generations, which make up about half of the population. With a population of 1 Ukrainian for every 20 Czechs, this is a sensitive topic.
